Who is the arbiter of truth?

Is it possible to have an unbiased political arbiter of truth? Should we even delegate this task to forces outside of ourselves? How do we know what is fact vs 'fake news'?

"truth" is a mental construct

No political ideology is true, everyone has different needs and perspectives. Pure libertarianism is great for a billionaire CEO, socialism is great if youre poor or homeless, which one is truer? None. They both serve different needs.

The "best" truth is the one which turns out positive for as many as possible from my perspective, but of course that's not absolute truth either and who would ever be able to foresee the infinite complexity to decide what exactly that would look like.
