@zeroISinfinity I was in all those places, my family is all over the place. Moscow is really cool now, not like the old one, very updated and modern. 

Our Slavic mentality is pretty close, so I understand what you mean. When working on the cruises Russians and Ukrainians always were binging on drinks with Serbians.  then Serbians called them "brate" 

I also feel that Ukraine is going to follow the same scenario like you guys did in 2006 with Montenegro.

Nowadays Russian is our great enemy. But it is all about politics, do not even want to go that road, very sad that it happened to be this way.

@zeroISinfinity Very reserved, not friendly, rude, arrogant but as soon as you break the ice, usually take friendship very seriously, very hospitable and generous people. (both Russians and Ukrainians) 

I hope my Ukrainian friends from this forum wont kill me for saying this out loud.

It is very sad. People have families in both countries, now you can not even go to Ukraine from Russia and vice versa. The saddest part is how TV and videos from the internet brainwash people and create hatred.  Families and friends do not talk to each other. But I am not very familiar since I have not lived in Ukraine for about ten years.

@DrewNows LMAO, when were teenagers ofc we did, were drinking like all Russians do, you Americans will never understand this  

I do not like alcohol of any kind, especially vodka. I almost don't drink, Champaign maybe with friends on a party. If drink a lot of Champaign it messes up my sleep  (I believe it interferes with the RAM sleep a lot) and I wake in the middle of the night and cant sleep.

True  My maternal grandmother originally came from Siberia, my maternal grandpa from Poland. And my dad's side from Bulgarian village in Ukraine. But people often assume I speak Spanish to which I respond "No comprende"

@zeroISinfinity I have never been in Serbia, but I love Horvatska( I love how you call it, I learned that word from your folks on the ship) , been in Split and Dubrovniki Germans and Austrians love to vacay there since it is so cheap for them. 

We do experience the same, especially in the arts and music. So much hatred.

It's funny, but I didn't taste vodka for the first time until I came to the States. Was at a party one time and they made me take a shot of it. They couldn't believe I was Russian and had never had vodka before. Guess that was my rite of initiation of sorts  But I can get drunk on anything alcoholic, even beer or champaigne, easily. Which makes me wonder about the validity of my Siberian genes sometimes

@Natasha hehehe yup alcohol is consuming the spirits, you get filled with life, lots of energy. Usually it takes time to build tolerance  

The younger we start typically the higher the tolerance, no matter what “genes”
