Vitamin D is great for the bones! That must be how the vikings did it.. ;)

Geography did play a big role in the rise of Europe and the British empire.

Then isn't it fair to say that the tendency towards white skin in part unlocked the geographical requirements that lead to the relative advancement over the rest of the world? Thus, despite the presence of a myriad of other factors, race does indeed have something to say for the advancement of a certain people. However, vitamin D metabolism alone doesn't really lend itself to ideas of innate racial superiority, as it's firstly trivial, and secondly conditional. If I were to modify your original statement, I would say "innate racial characteristics that confer an uniform adaptive advantage across different environments have not been shown to be involved in the relative advancement of a group of people".

You've got cause and effect mixed up: the tendency towards lighter skin was caused by geography. It did not unlock  geography... how do you even unlock geography!?

And if you are only talking about the rise of the British empire and ignoring all other civilizations that came before and influenced it, yes. It is fair to say that geography is the only cause of advancement.

You are basically saying race causes geography, and geography causes advancement.

And just to be clear, by advancement do you mean economic advancement, or genetic advancement?

This reads like something a lawyer would write trying to cover their ass against all possible future outcomes, rather than communicate.  Meaningless gibberish, to put it more bluntly.
