A political system is similar to a personal system

One reason I can rationalize wasting time with politics is because there are similarities between political systems and personal systems. 

Think about it. Basically a person is a social construct. He has to develop principles, patterns and policies how to deal with the outer world and the inner world like countries do. 

You can even use some models from political system in people. Actually you can say the systems mirror people. Also vice versa. Like in the chicken and egg problem.

So basically you might have a democratic way of dealing with your inner world. You might have a fascist way of dealing with it. You might be fluctuating. 

So the political system can be a objectifying and mirroring of our thinking. With that it is easier to analyse it as it is enough seperated from us. We can easier research it in a unbiased way.
