Taxonomy of emotions

I have a hard time recognizing certain emotions or sensations. A lot is going under the radar. Any recommendations on literature and action steps?

From my experience, do strong determination sitting. If you are persistent you will probably find alot on your radar.

Do you have a daily meditation habit?

From the theoretical point of view I would suggest: "Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender" and "Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires".

I'm doing daily meditations. The thing is that I can feel it but I can't identify it. It is like a cocktail of different kind poison. Probably it is a mix of two or more emotions.

I want to label these so I can recognize them during the day. Otherwise they just go under the radar and fuck me up.

@StarStruck good, every possible emotion is very well described in the first book I recommended. In the second book you can learn how to go up on emotional scale: from depression to anger, from anger to optimism, from optimism to love.

@dimitri thanks. I will look into it.  I actually had the first one on my book list but I will prioritize. :)

@StarStruck Sedona, of course.

Here is the fact card for you:

There are four basic wants: control, security/survival, approval/love and the desire for separation.

All our emotions stem from these four basic wants.

Nine emotional states are: (from lowest -> to highest)

Apathy, Grief, Fear, Lust, Anger, Pride, Courageousness, Acceptance, Peace.

Each state has its own subset. It is actually very easy. This book shed some light on my emotional states.
