Hopelessness.

5 posts in this topic

You're chasing your own tail. You'll NEVER catch it.

You think you're running towards, but you are actually running away.

You want peace, here it is.

You want a safe and permanent position so you can finally say that you know what this is.

You think the quest for God will give you the ultimate position, that is why you are chasing it.

If God is truly infinite, total freedom, what do you think this is?

You say you want freedom. But on your terms!

If you could have freedom, if you could achieve it, would it really be freedom? If you could achieve it, you would be afraid to lose it. Would that be freedom?

This is freedom speaking, this is freedom listening. Freedom is all.

Can you see, that it is hopeless for you to look for freedom, because it literally is all there is? Even the experience of it being somewhere else, is freedom.

Can you see that this "work" isn't a gain, but a loss?

You missed enlightenment as soon as you believed it was real.

"Can you see, that it is hopeless for you to look for freedom, because it literally is all there is? Even the experience of it being somewhere else, is freedom."

Yes. Hopelessness - Freedom; this duality ultimately collapses. It's one and the same thing.

"You're chasing your own tail. You'll NEVER catch it." Exactly. And that's the beauty of it all. It would be very sad/boring/limited if it were actually possible to catch one's own tail! <3

"Can you see that this "work" isn't a gain, but a loss?"

This is true in one sense, and not quite true in an other. Depends on you look at it (like everything does). It's always a perspective.

In one sense, it's true, you have to let go of yourself in this work. And when you have finally surrendered, you see that everything, all your struggles and desires and attachments, they were all pointless, hopeless, never-fulfilling, never-ending, always spinning around in a circle of 'me, me, me¨. And in a sense, there is no 'me' after enlightenment. It was seen to be illusion/imagination.

However, in another sense, you don't lose anything. You can still keep your dog, your bf/gf, your family, your friends, your favorite paintings, your job etc... if you want to. Enlightenment is equal to ultimate freedom. You decide. Always. It's up to you. It has always been, always will be. You see that. It's totally up to you what you make of it.

I "personally" choose to make love of everything, cos that's what is most true ("to me" and "in reality" ... it's the same).

And of course, you do  "gain"  the insight  of  love being all there is. ... Which I would call The Mother Of All "Gains" <3
