This song kinda sums up my thoughts and feelings about the topic;

Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality
Of plastic existence!

@ivankiss I've been listening to SOAD since 8. Their honest and authentic style makes them one of the most respected bands in the world. You can't hate against them, unless you support enslavement and limitations.

Police need to stand for Peace. Put down they weapons and earn respect.

@Leo Gura It's a song about cruelty and brutality, what did you expect? A lullaby? ?

@Chakra Lion Awesome! I discovered them as a kid, too. Fell in love instantly. Still like rocking out to their music today. I hear it in a totally new light now tho.

They're tryna build a prison! ?

That's some Hitler mentality right there ?

I think it's perfect for what it represents. Creating music like this is a great way to express and release anger. Not to mention the benefits for all those people who actually do resonate with it. It has a great healing effect. Perhaps it's even more effective than a guru preaching about whatever the heck.

Then again; to each their own. It's not like we're all supposed to enjoy everything.

My personal taste in music transcends all limitations. I can enjoy nearly every genre from A to Z. Some more, some less.

I used to say the same thing you said about Bieber's music and other "mainstream thrash". Until I got out of my own way lol. It should be exactly the way it is. Hence it is.

That song has been made unnecessarily brutal. :PxD

It should have been titled Music Brutality!!

I immediately closed the video after hearing it for only 3 seconds.

If that's music lol, even i can make music with my kitchen pots and pans. xDO.o

yeah hitler probably liked folk songs... one german thing for @Leo Gura

and one german thing for @ivankiss

my name is human.

it‘s probably not everyone’s taste - but the text is really nice unfortunately its german.

the band is called clay, stones, shards

My Name is Human

I have many fathers.

I have many mothers,

and I have many sisters,

and I have many brothers.

My fathers are black

and my mothers are yellow

and my brothers are red

and my sisters are fair.

I'm more than 10.000 years old,

and my name is Human!

I'm more than 10.000 years old,

and my name is Human!

And I live off light,

and I live off the air,

and I live off love,

and I live off bread.

I have two eyes

and I can see everything.

I have two ears

and I can understand everything.

I'm more than 10.000 years old,

and my name is Human!

I'm more than 10.000 years old,

and my name is Human!

We have an enemy.

He takes our days,

he lives off our work,

and he lives off our strength.

He has two eyes,

and he doesn't want to see.

And he has two ears

and doesn't want to understand.

He's more than 10.000 years old

and has many names.

He's more than 10.000 years old

and has many names.

I know, we're gonna fight,

I know, we're gonna win,

I know, we're gonna live,

and we're gonna love each other.

Planet Earth

is going to belong to all of us,

and everyone will have what they need.

It's not gonna take another 10.000 years,

'cause the time is ripe.

And it's not gonna take another 10.000 years,

'cause the time is ripe.

its from the 70ies so already 50 years have passed, so more  time had passed since then, than then since the second world war.

That's pure ignorance speaking, sorry.

I've been a musician for 15 years. It actually takes quite some talent and skill to write a song like that. The "noise" you hear is actually very carefully and precisely orchestrated. Think of it as organized chaos.

And if the song is "unnecessarily brutal"... what would you say is what's happening in the world? This is raw authenticity right here.

It's just that your ears are not used to it.

It's one thing to not like or enjoy something and another to spit all over it mindlessly.

Here are the lyrics of the first song, for those of you who do not have the balls to sit through it :P

Circumventing circuses,
Lamenting in protest,
To visible police,
Presence sponsored fear,

Battalions of riot police,
With rubber bullet kisses,
Baton courtesy,
Service with a smile

Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.

A rush of words,
Pleading to disperse,
Upon your naked walls, alive,
A political call,
The fall guy accord,
We can't afford to be neutral on a moving train,

Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.

Push them around,
A deer dance, invitation to peace,
War staring you in the face, dressed in black.
With a helmet, fierce,
Trained and appropriate for the malcontents,
For the disproportioned malcontents

The little boy smiled
It'll all be well,
The little boy smiled
It'll all be well

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
They like to push the weak around.

God... this band does such a kick ass job at spreading awareness about all the political bullshit in society. They have balls of steel, too. It takes great courage to speak up like this.

I've been walkin' through your streets
Where all your money's earnin'
Where all your buildings cryin' and clueless neckties workin'
Revolving fake lawn houses, housin' all your fears
Desensitized by TV
Overbearin' advertisin', god of consumerism
And all your crooked pictures lookin' good
Mirrorism, filtering information for the public eye
Designed for profiteerin' your neighbor, what a guy

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every time you drop the bomb
You kill the God your child has born
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Modern globalization, coupled with condemnations
Unnecessary death
Matador corporations
Puppeting your frustrations with the blinded flag
Manufacturing consent is the name of the game
The bottom line is money, nobody gives a fuck
4000 hungry children leave us per hour from starvation
While billions are spent on bombs, creating death showers!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every time you drop the bomb
You kill the God your child has born
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Why must we
Kill our own kind?

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every time you drop the bomb
You kill the God your child has born
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every time you drop the bomb (Boom!)

@ivankiss  You reminded me of the time when I was young, wild, broken, and crazy. ?

I loved that song and it still sounds good now. It's amazing. Some things never change.

I also love all genre (and multi-language) though I usually listen to mellow songs from 1900s- 1930s, and 1950s-1990s.

It's the beautiful melody and tune  I enjoy and appreciate, not the genre.

I listen to heavy rock songs, especially anger-hate songs from time to time to embrace my built up anger, enjoy feeling it, then release some of it. It has some healing effect, though it's temporary.

Those noisy, crazy songs, as perverted as they are, have some important function.

@jimwell This is not really a thread about music... But music is a great way to express things. And SOAD does a great job when it comes to social/political criticism. I figured I let their music speak, instead of me ranting about shit.

But while we're at it... what I enjoy most nowadays, musically speaking... is jazz, prog, fusion, soul, r&b and even classical and opera... I like mellow stuff, too. Nice melody and interesting rhythm.

But I still rock out from time to time... I like it rough, too ? Much rougher than SOAD, even ?
