Thinking and Direct Experience

3 posts in this topic

@Nahm @Shin @pluto @Elton and everyone else.

Well, I was planning to go to Germany to study. Everything was going fine. I was able to get all things sorted out. And from somewhere a feeling has come to me that by imagining how would I feel when I land in Germany, the UNI I would go and all that I am not getting direct experience - that is, the feeling I get from my senses... that, as the direct experience is missing, I may become sad or de-motivated when I really in that place. So now I felt that I should stop imagining and stop my thoughts about how I feel, how would I do e.t.c.

So, do you guys think that thinking or imagining is not good sometimes? in certain scenarios? and especially when planning a career?

Think about and imagine what you want, how you want it to go, how you want to feel.

Feel how the thoughts and imaginings feel, as you do. Listen to that guidance within you, of feeling, of sensation in the body.

Feeling is ever present, guiding, wherever you go. It’s not “in a future”.  It’s now.

Thinking is useful. Your problem here sounds like fear based thinking, which can be problematic. Although even that is sometimes warranted.

Sounds like you are just doubting yourself and apprehensive about a new situation -- which is normal.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
