My dopamine detox week

I decided to do a week of dopamine detox. I don't have much dopamine going on from technology or substances, but I listen to a lot of music and I'm addicted to socializing.

Start date: [6/14/2020]

End date: [6/22/2020]

What I can do:

1. Meditate

2. Read

3. Write/Journal

4. Listen to subliminals / Use affirmations

5. Exercise

6. Create podcasts and videos

7. Watch youtube but only for information and research

8. Research / Google

 

What I cannot do:

1. Use the internet for anything else than stated above

2. Watch television

3. Use social media

4. Socialize on the internet (including actualized.org)

5. Eat meat

6. Eat fast food / sweets / snacks

7. No coffee

8. No music

 

Wish me luck and I hope I can make it! Inspired by @IJB063

Edit: I am still using music at night for meditation. But not to distract me during the day. I realised it helps keep stress levels healthy.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

I'm so productive that I don't even feel like doing the stuff on the list. Just naturally detoxed.

And update: i eat meat and sweet because my body needs it.
