New Habits, Self Improvement

Today it really hit me as to how I waste my valuable time. 

I am glued to games on my phone for most of the day, read through Twitter headlines, etc. Sheer boredom. That's why I do it. 

I want to start developing some better habits. I need to put the phone away and focus on doing some reading, going for walks, exercising, etc. Something more mindful. 

Has anyone successfully become unstuck from their boring old rut and improved their lives?  I'm guessing so, I just need some advice on how to get moving with it.

I think it is important to note that becoming "unstuck" takes time. It also takes a lot of effort mentally/emotionally because you are leaving your comfort zone to pursue something.

The thing I believe you should go for is meditation. 

20 minutes daily at least.

Why? 

  • Meditation gives you focus  & Awareness 
  • Willpower to build new habits 
  • more energy
  • More happiness and the more you do it the happier you become.
  • and much more

Warning: You will resist this change in the beginning stages and likely skip days. Cuz it is not easy. 

Try to be aware of how you distract yourself and meditate whenever you have the most energy.

Do whatever you can to not miss a day. That is the most important..

After meditation has become a habit for u, then u can add another habit.

Thank you. I have been attempting meditation although I need some work at it. 

I find I need music to help me meditate as I can never be somewhere that is silent.
