spending time with an enlightened person

9 posts in this topic

I feel this is a very important thing to do if you are on the path. Even if you don't talk to that person but just to get a sense of what's possible, how they are with themselves , if it has an affect on me and also to see if it is even real. I've been thinking of doing this for a while now but the problem is i feel you wouldn't get that true sense just from a retreat or a workshop as the "guru" could be acting up. I would want to spend time around them in a natural setting to get a true sense of it. Any ideas how one would go about this?

Good idea! However not all teachers are worth meeting I think, try and find someone with a powerful aura/energy around them. That way you will evolve and receive grace by being near them. I once met a true avatar, their entire house was full of energy, part of this energy came from the disciples because they were actually very evolved, but when I met the teacher it was so strong, it felt like the sun, normally I can't even feel peoples auras.

Listen! Here’s all you need to know to become enlightened: Sit down, shut up, and ask yourself what’s true until you know. That’s it. That’s the whole deal; a complete teaching of enlightenment, a complete practice. If you ever have any questions or problems—no matter what the question or problem is—the answer is always exactly the same: Sit down, shut up, and ask yourself what’s true until you know. In other words, go jump off a cliff. Don’t go near the cliff and contemplate jumping off. Don’t read a book about jumping off. Don’t study the art and science of jumping off. Don’t join a support group for jumping off. Don’t write poems about jumping off. Don’t kiss the ass of someone else who jumped off. Just jump.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

@lmfao Or... sit down, shut up, and take 5-MeO-DMT.

If questions arise, take more 5-MeO-DMT ;)
