Sleeping Beauty...

You go to your room, go to the bed & fall sleep. Then you have a dream... Now, can the dream-you find your sleeping body inside of that dream-world? The body which is in your room, sleeping and dreaming up that dream-world... Can that be found in that dream? If it's found, is that truly the body that's dreaming up the dream? Can the dreamer be found inside of the dream? Or is the dreamer the entire dream itself?

This gets into some advanced lucid dreaming in which I’ve only had some glimpses. I’m certainly not a master in this area. . . I would say it depends on how you are defining “found” and “truly the body”. For me, the concept construction is second order. First order is entering that lucid state, exploring and observing the actuality.

Like, if you were in a room with your friend. You fall asleep and your friend remains awake in the room. Can the dream you come into that room in which you are sleeping and your friend is awake?

 

(Yes, in the dream you can... But that wouldn't be actual physical world where you're sleeping and dreaming up the dream.)

 

The dream you cannot go meta-dream is what I mean.

 

Ergo, looking for yourself is like that. You cannot find yourself because you are the entire construct - not a part in the construct.

@SoonHei I may have a different relationship with ‘dream’, ‘wake’, ‘physical’ and ‘non-physical’. . . .Within the conventional context you are using, what you describe makes sense to me.

@SoonHei I think all these questions have an obvious answer but I'm interested to see where are you going with this?  Do you want to apply the same analogy about the experience of this reality that's happening "here and now".  You can only discover this after you exit the dream and reflect back on what happens using memories.  How do you apply the same to this world?  Is it possible that this world is not a dream at all yet dreams just happen within it?

One already IS oneself as the totality of their experience.

How to apply it to this world?

By seeing that you are not the personal 'I' - you are Your Experience. You are the whole thing. You are not only just the body... You are the body+world as One thing (one experience). With this, you begin to live to better your experience by operating out of Love (because you see and understand that it is all You). The life of the body (personal I) improves automatically as you work and live for the whole of your experience. 

The root of all evil is due to the fact that majority of us are living only for a small part of ourselves. Start living for the whole of You and then welcome to Heaven ❤️

I think here is the most important part. If I use a microscope to find the exact line that separate "me" from the "world" I might very much not find it. This duality is not really there when you dig deep. It's just one field the universe is one filed (whether it be matter or awareness is not the issue here).  But If we get back to the macro level and use a ruler to draw that line. I can very easily name you a bunch of objects in my direct experience that's not "me ". The line that separate me from it is so clear (on the macro level). I believe both perspectives are true in a sense you are one with the world if you choose to look at it this way and you are not one with it if you choose that.

Ergo, the reason I said you are the body+the world. The body is certainly you... But not exclusively you.

The key is to work as a balance which naturally occurs once it is fully seen thru...

 

There isn't a need for an effort to make a decision from that understanding just as there's no need for bravery to pass by a rope (which you previously thought was a snake). Love (actions for & by the whole) is a natural arising once the I-exclusive POV falls away.
