What if video games makes you way more intelligent than books

Video games can brings you the experience, a book can not. If you want to learn how to drive a car, playing a video game that simulates driving a car can gives you more knowledge, and "real world experience". Opposed to just sitting and reading a book, which can provides practical knowledges but you wouldn't have that experience of driving a car.

I think it depends on a book and on the game. The games I played contributed heavily to my cognitive development, but my favorite genre was Strategy and I also played on a semi-pro\pro level across multiple disciplines

There are many kinds of intelligence and it's not easy to define them all.
Different video games train different kinds of intelligence, that's for sure.
I would say video games play way more into fluid intelligence while books are helping to develop crystallized intelligence. Using these terms just for explanatory sake because personally I think intelligence goes even deeper and is way more complicated then this.

Imagine you talk to some casual people and you have to convince him basic thinking that vidéos games are superior than Books.

Thanks that's the kind of input I expected. We don't always need to be highly deep about it. Sometimes relative open up to real depth. Don't underestimate how deep can the relative be.
