I've tried to quit this addiction for like 4-5 times but i always went back because i was always tired and had kind of brainfog thing. Tbh it would be very easy to get off it for me but i get this weird tiredness and etc. I'm just addicted to the release, to the dopamine... What should i do? Btw can you get brainfog because of porn addiction?

It is certainly not an addiction you just can quit with willpower and resistance.
Expect backsliding and relapsing. While you watch porn and fap try to become as mindful as possible of your behavior.

Don't fight it or judge it but observe it as good as you can. Ask yourself do I really want this, does this really satisfy me?

After you jerk off don't guilt yourself or feel like you messed up treat yourself with compassion ( This is a very hard addiction to break)

Just keep your intention and vision why you want to quit porn always in the back of your mind. You will see it will get easier and easier to not be seduced by your mind to watch it.

I think it can give you brain fog due to your attention working not as efficient when you are overloading your brain with dopamine spikes.

@ShardMare get a girl friend and have real sex.

Read books on attraction and about masculinity.

Learn techniques of semen retention and pc exercises and penis massage

Watch vedios where you can learn the art of seduction.

Become aware that you are getting aroused looking at a electronic device and pixels on the screen.

Porn is natural and healthy, not an issue unless it is having a negative effect on your life. Follow your desires shame-free.

He is having issues. Natural and healthy is your opinion.

Desires lead to suffering (Buddhist perspective).

Check out the book Your Brain on Porn.

Also, stick with it. It gets easier. Keep speaking your intention to the Universe as you did with this post. Good luck.

Porn sucks. Relapsed on my third attempt just today. You tried 4-5 times, but I heard there are dudes who had many more relapses and they are still hopeful.

Not shaming you, just want to give you another perspective.

Also had the relapse problem again, I got my desires now as coping mechanism and crutch due to deadline and work schedule study anxiety or as a result of an anxiety relief mechanism after a procrastination session of watching videos on YouTube.

You have a free downloadable book in pdf form of

Your Brain on Porn, on Academia.edu that @DivineSoda referenced.

I have a non defined plan yet to tackle it, during quarantine, when I get the desire to instead sit in my chair and focus breath meditate on it or when the deasire for it arises, to use these scientific sources to get a clearer picture perspective in my head that if I jerk off to it and ejaculate now and get an instant dopamine reward system release neuro-physiological feeling as , of how it actually affects and helps better my psychological state and cognitive abilities and opportunities for longer term thinking and planning my future realistically if I choose this quick get reward scheme in tackling my anxiety and psychological fatigue issues. Good luck in this, I am with you  currently on the way.

Just keep trying to quit. Don't beat yourself up. The more you give in, the more addicted you get.

If you distract yourself with something productive and overcome the urge, in the moment it wont feel good, but the next day you will feel good about yourself.

Of course it's my opinion. He asked what he should do, so I replied with my opinion. Maybe your opinions are more enlightened than mine.

Being on nofap myself, I would suggest switching from Digital porn to mental porn, trust your imagination to show you vivid and lucid sexual visions and make you hard. That in itself would be a big thing. And don't give in to your urges to ejaculate. Know that it only goes downhill after that.
Accept your urge to ejaculate and force your imagination to satisfy you sexually. Be sexually content all by yourself without having to touch your dick or release your sperm. Learn that skill. And it would possibly be more rewarding than jerking off. It's different for sure. But it leaves space for something else to manifest, unlike where jerking off thrice a day would leave you doing nothing but just that.

It's nasty. Don't watch that first video or image and you won't want to watch the second. Some get hooked as minors and I would like sites to force people to prove their age by entering credit card information. How does the addiction compare to cigarettes or heroin? Others have said to go on dates and get a lover which sounds good.

Depending on how much you have consumed it in the past, for how many years and most importantly how young you were when you started, this process might take years.

The most damaging thing by far is browsing for the porn, so looking for it and finding more and more videos or images. Read the book "Your brain on porn".

https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/

You can start by allowing yourself to masturbate but only using your fantasy, no computer, no images and no videos. This will help get rid of a lot of the dopamine response. For it to be healing, try to focus on emotions like Love rather than pure Lust. You will realize how much more enjoyable loving sexuality is than lustful sexuality. And you will notice that lustful sexuality actually can inhibit your ability to feel Love. This will be huge, and you should realize more and more that when you watch porn you just don't get the greater depth of feelings, infact watching porn is mostly an experience of suffering. There is a desire which you want to get rid of, it's a very primitive part of your brain.

On the other hand, when you have a partner, or fantasize focusing on more Loving and giving aspects Sexuality, you will notice a whole nother spectrum of emotions and a far higher quality of consciousness while doing so. This will in the future help you to avoid porn because it will simply not seem that attractive anymore. You will be conscious of it's destructive powers.

Unfortunately the nature of a dopamine withdrawal, and a general rewiring of the brain from a lack of stimulation this significant, will result in symptoms like depression, lethargy, demotivation and so forth. You can aid yourself by taking something like Brahmi.

You've already received great advice. Let me share what is helping me overcome this addiction as well. Look into the porn industry, read and watch videos about ex porn stars that reveal what's actually happening off screen.. You'll discover just how much the porn actresses suffer. They are often emotionally and physically abused, manipulated since an early age to use prostitution as a means of making a living, drugged and many other things. After spending like a week looking into such stories you'll realize that the modern porn industry has little to none positive effects on the world. Almost everyone involved in this endeavor is miserable.. consumers, actors, actresses(especially), young poor girls.. you name it. It will literally be harder for you to watch porn. You'll start a video, get horny and all, and then you'll spot a slight expression of sadness and disappointment on the actress's face, and you will start to wonder how much she might be hating her life.

You might bury this feeling and do your thing, but this thing will happen over and over again every time you open an incognito tab and it'll become increasingly harder to watch porn, realizing not only intellectually the impact of the porn industry individually and socially, but also emotionally. Your compassion will grow for the actors involved, and it will be harder to objectify them. You will find it disgusting eventually and you will move to softer and more intimate porn.. which is hard to find, lol.

Best of luck.

In the 1980s porn was difficult to come by. You might have to drive to the local adult book store, buy a VHS tape, and humiliate yourself, and then toss it out after feeling guilty for watching it. Nowadays with a few clicks of the mouse you can easily browse and view an enormous amount of porn in a short period of time, and then easily delete your browsing history to destroy the evidence. I would like websites to force users to prove their age. If you had to make a credit card charge to a porn site would you do it? It is bad news. Stay away. How would you feel about your mother or sister performing it?

Thx all, Im on 1month now. I watched stories and interviews about ex pornstars, I just kept getting busy myself, if the cravings got up i asked myself whos experiencing this?: the false-self, and overall i just looked this as a challenge and an opportunity to increase my discipline. I think i got over it, thx all again
