As someone who's been down this path I can tell you that if you try to do what you are suggesting, be prepared. It is much, much more difficult that you can possibly imagine. On another note, most likely you are avoiding life's challenges. All of that shit will follow you wherever you go. In the end, though, it makes no differences. The challenges you will face will teach you what you need to learn.

Yes, we are primates, and If you look at all the primates in the wild, they live in groups. If they dont live within their societies, they will not survive. Same is for humans. We are amazing at working as a team. That's what I like about about this forum. Everybody works as a team to build each other up. We are animals and we must work together in order to survive, just like the penguins, the orcas, the lemurs, the chimps. As they say, strength in numbers.

@diamondpenguin what if someone doesn't want to be a part of it? Can't their needs be accommodated?

The way self sufficient old men and women on the hill did, and the way yogis in cave did, sounds pretty enticing.

Bro I don´t see a problem with it I actually have basically the same vision BUT the difficult thing is how to survive with so little.

One strategy could be getting a remote job, so the rest of the day you can spend it meditating. Then once you have saved enough off that remote job, you get youself some basic self-sufficient home technologies like solar panels and some other stuff like that, and then you reduce living to the absolutely minimum to be able to spend the rest of your live meditating with those savings.

Once you have some savings, I actually don´t see it so difficult, as long as you don´t spend absolutely anything and you eat very little (which won´t be a problem once you have high levels of consciousness).

The question is will you have the balls to actually do it.

Is easy to say it from home, but making the decision to actually do it, and living the risk of living off basic survival (once you have quit the remote job and you are living on savings) will require that you are actually serious with this.

Also, let me point one risk and that would be the elastic curve of inflation and unpredictable economy. Who knows how money will be 20 years from now? Maybe the dollars from today won´t value as much.

In this case to avoid this risk you could get yourself some land and some animals but then you are fucked because then you´d depend on society.

@electroBeam This might be just me, but it seems like the type of lifestyle you're in now is just getting old to you. You've gone to China a couple of times and yearned for something more simple. I'd say live there or wherever for a little while and then come back because ultimately I guarantee the simple lifestyle will get old too. Have fun; good luck; and be safe!

you're still typing on the internet constantly to a bunch of people you don't know, you're still grasping for connection-1,800 times on this site alone...I don't see it happening.   Maybe you'll do it for a year or two and find another passion, good luck.

You can run but you can't hide. It is not possible to live outside of society. You're gonna have to make peace with that fact sooner or later.

The real question is, how do you want to relate with society?

Of course it is possible, but nobody would leave their family, friends and comfortable lifestyle.
