Holy shit I've gone over this too much, but I'm convinced I have the right answer without having gone through the thread looking for the answer.

The test is meant to be a deliberate trick by making it appear the variables contradict each other, but if you review them enough these are the results;

Pair of shoes = 10

Single shoe = 5

Mean kid WITH the whistle = 5 (Kid = 3, whistle on his neck = 2)

Pair of whistles = 4

Single whistle = 2

SOOOO the answer to the last question is.......... 16

Single shoe (5) + Kid WITHOUT whistle (3) = 8 X Single whistle (2) = 16

Oh wait BEDMAS fuck me lol...............................
