What is the relationship between democratic socialism and entrepreneurship?

2 posts in this topic

I was having a debate with my dad about how we need to take into account more democratic socialism ideas. He said what would happen to business and the fact that lots of business start ups wouldn't be supported with entrepreneurs not being able to innovate. This stumped me as I didn't know their stance on this.

How could i have responded?

I would argue that shift needs to happen to happen in already established corporations, not start ups with small number of employees, with large ammount assets and of workers with longer work experience, to get them as employee representatives on corporate boards of directors and enable them the ability, based on how much they worked in the corporations, to have the ability to a part of the stock of corporation and to invest in it or sell it on the financial market as based on votes and as representatives of other workers. If I made some logical mistakes correct me. I will share you a clip of Rick Wolff on the TMBS who explains, this accuretly and precisely, how this workers on corporate boards concept works in some corporations in Germany with more than 150 employees , were the workers have right to own, after sufficient employee status experience part of the stock of that corporation and use it in the role of representatives for all workers.

Here Wolff, as a guest on the The Michael Brooks Show, outlines some Democratic Socialist policies in some German company's that are mandated by state law there. It starts at 13:00.

Hope this helps you understand if you want develop your arguments.
