For some reason people have been sleeping on this, including some left-wing(ish) media like The Hill, The Progressive Voice, The Young Turks, and so on. Maaaaybe Kyle from Secular Talk mentioned it in 2016, and I think possibly The Progressive Voice or some people on twitter mentioned it for this year.

It's absurd to assume they should line up within 4%.

well no statistics in pre poll should be in the range of 3% .

exit polls usually in a 0,X % range as far as what i can read out of official information, in my country. sometimes this does not work out for the small parties and there its higher. so either the statistic is not representative or its at least suspicious and in a sense need follow up examination, like he proposes.

If Coronavirus hit like 2 or 3 months earlier, I think his message becomes much more important to voters and he would have had a better shot.  Wage and healthcare inequality, and the attention he gives to global warming seem so much more important than they already did before.  Everyone being interconnected is much more obvious now.
