@Extreme Z7 I'm not sure science and tech is applicable to society in a concrete way. Wouldn't it make more sense to get rid of poverty and feeding those in need than jumping to gun to the big things? And the animals, the animals are dying. Lots of things

Well, it's admirable. If I recall, you're a teenager, and if you're not old enough to have a job this could be a good way to start a habit of philanthropy.

Are you struggling with self-sabotage and CONSTANTLY standing in the way of your own success?

@JevinR Do you feel the need to do so? Is it like this I don't know.. calling that you have?

Where no matter what you've got to do it one way or another in your life.

You're missing the point to having a life purpose. Life purpose should be something that gives you energy, not something that is a drain.

I just joined the forum.  I read your post about aimlessness. Consider that everyone alive has to 'be' somewhere 'doing' something.  And we all face many choices about being and doing. You may elect to 'be' in your room 'wondering' about what to do with your time. The solution to this feeling is not to discover a hidden secret of your existence but to engage yourself in activity.

Get off the bed and leave the room. Mow the lawn. Take a walk. Seek out a strawberry milkshake. The big questions of existence will never be solved to most people's satisfaction. But the little questions of what to do right now can be. Stop ruminating and go do something.

@JevinR  I understand how you feel.  I have struggled as well with life purpose.  It actually started to stress me out because I want to do something to help solve world problems but is also my passion.  So I'll share with you a great quote from Howard Thurman that really helped me.  He said" Don't ask yourself what the world needs.  Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.  Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."  Just find something that makes you come alive, but be patient it won't happen overnight.

I hope you'll not feel offended but I laughed at this so hard!? DO IT...if this is your life purpose!

@JevinR I think your life purpose should be giving your gift to the world. Find out what your gift/talent is, then share it with the world. Donating money like you describe does not sound like giving your gift to the world, but merely giving money. People are better of when you give them education/coaching/inspiration/love/advice/knowledge and so further to make money on their own.

Considering that nothing matter in the big picture and that your life purpuse can give you motivation for the rest of your life and evolve with you, ask yourself: wold I do that for free? or even better... Would I pay to do that? If your answer is no think something else
