Remembering the moment

15 posts in this topic

Ever switched from witnessing the unfolding of the moment to remembering it 100%; in its entirety?

It's a wired sensation.

Seems like a constant deja vu. Feels like I'm moving forward and backwards simultaneously. "Moving" but not going anywhere.

Yeah I realize that its all me and it’s always been that way it gets pretty boring fast just being there all alone so then i create duality

"Remembering" is an interesting phenomena to me. There are an infinite number of interpretation of "what happened" or "what is happening". A memory is one of an infinite number of possible contextualizations. So, "it" never happened.

@Serotoninluv That's what (was) so weird about it. How can one remember something that's literally happening right now?

It's a very strong feeling. A knowing.

Hard to describe..

I can look at "it" two ways; it either never happened or its still happening... always has and always will.

@Nahm Wasn't so sweet in live action xD It completely felt like I was the paradox.

I once heard of something like "resting in paradox". Yet it seems to me like its very nature is restlessness and uncertainty.

xD

Yes. There’s no paradox. Definitely, definitely seems like it, but there isn’t. You’re venturing within more than most obviously. Temper it with patience, & infinite humor. Imo insane paradox requires insane humor.

I think there’s a chance the now / memories and the infinite ‘slide show’ are collapsing. If so, this is good. Try to notice it’s happening quite naturally, and spontaneously. Divinely.

@Nahm

Feels like it, yes.

Thank you. I remember you once describing it as "jumping into an ice cold water and losing your breath". That's what I'm having a tough time bearing with. It's quite... unbearable xD

Without that sensation; I can see how I could perhaps find peace during the "collapse".

I like that, "resting in paradox." In my experience there is absolutely nothing one can do to reach the fulfillment one believes there is on the other side of resistance, the resistance is what is and it's very nature is to feel contracted and uncomfortable. The paradox is then that there is absolutely no direction for one to take, no one has a say in what's happening, one naturally tries to surrender to the resistance but realizes that this effort is the resistance itself, then one tries to stop surrendering to the resistance but creates resistance out of that effort. Infinite resistance. The realization can then be that resistance is all there is, which simultaneously means there is no resistance at all, as there is no one outside of that resistance to judge it.

Yes, that's exactly what I experienced on my last mushroom trip! I felt like I transcended resistance into infinite resistance or infinite surrender (same thing). It was such a deep shift that I just yelled "OHHHHHH!" so loud as I was in this insane fit of laughter, basically having a metaphysical orgasm, and my cat ran up to me and what so concerned. I've never heard her meow like that haha.

Glory to God. Blessings to All.

Yes and it would be very distasteful and inappropriate if I implied in any way that it is also at the same time potentially very funny. (To you).  It would most likely not result in any tickling of any funny bone, nor any kind of relief or presence of being.

The insight served, and then can be let go, and was & is no issue with sensation (imo). Insight fills empty cups. Light, loose, carefree, empty cups.

@Nahm I think I understand you. Thank you for being considerate at the time.

In that moment, "letting go" doesn't seem to be an option. There simply is no one there who could let go and nothing to let go of. Surender is, however, exactly what usually leads me "there".

I don't think I ever heard anyone talk about this in depth. It seems so "out there"... So alien... Yet it also feels like an absolute blessing.

I have a sense I'm onto something big. It seems like it has to do something with infinite will. The true power of intention.
