How to stop self-rationalization?

2 posts in this topic

I just had a little awakening that all my negative behaviors are from my self-rationalization.

Also when I tried DPT, I have a strong feeling that self-rationalization was the main reason why I had a bad trip.

I guess it's me being not authentic enough to consciously accept my negative self (or unwanted self)

Any idea?

Any Leo's video that covers it?

That very thought, the part of you that you call "negative", the attitude towards what you deem unacceptable is the lack of self-acceptance. Don't blame that on your lack of authenticity, that self-judgement is of your own making, here and now. You need mindfulness of the present moment to catch these thoughts, observe and re-write them.

Ultimately, self-rationalization is a form of justification and that stems from self-rejection.
Love yourself, be kind to yourself, like a loving parent is to its child.

Bearing with the conditioned in gentleness, fording the river with resolution, not neglecting what is distant, not regarding one's companions; thus one may manage to walk in the middle. H11L2
