Overcome instant gratification

2 posts in this topic

Does Leo have a video on how to overcome instant gratification? Any good books, talks and podcasts about this topic? How to be able to keep motivated at working towards long term goals?

I always wondered why some people don’t like to think about future consequences. Like you tell them smoking and drinking is bad for you, and they don’t want to think about the future, as long as they are enjoying it right now.

For a lot of things, the consequences are not immediate, so people don’t care to think about it. But when they are at the stage of suffering from the consequence, it’s usually too late.

What are the best ways to get people to think about the future consequences or rewards so they can change their current behavior that would benefit the future?

By raising their consciousness.

Though you ain't gonna have much progress with donkeys. Let them burn in their own illusion until they get tired of it and grow up.

Yes, many older (but still good) videos.
