almost Died during Sleep

5 posts in this topic

Yesterday I went to sleep as as usual, but shortly afterwards had a sudden shift in consciousness. Beforehand I didn't take any substance except tea.

First was this feeling of being watched from outside the room. Not visually, but more like feeling. This became more and more intense, until I felt everything radiating with vibrating energy. I became the room I was sleeping in. It felt like I've been in that place before forever, strange-loop style. The experience became more and more intense, it felt like I was literally dying with no ticket back. So intense was the fall into this puddle of energy, I opened my eyes and stuck out my hand trying to grab onto this world. The room and my hand had thick layers of vibrating energy behind their visual layer. It literally felt like falling, and I almost screamed. My whole body felt empty inside, like there were never organs in it. I tried my best to stop the fall, and succeeded. In a few minutes I started to return back.

As I was coming down I had this feeling of this experience being experienced before, but of course this was a first based on my ego's memory. I did have ego-dissolution during sleep before, but this was literally like being on a psychedelic. This wasn't a dream at all though, the intensity of it was nonhuman.

I experienced lots of stuff with LSD and MDMA, but this was very unique. The realness of it was the freakiest part. I never had resistance with ego-death during trips, but this time felt like I was legitimately gonna die without a return. Also I wasn't expecting this at all! It obviously freaked me out.

There were much more elements to this, but it's both hard to recall and fathom them in my current normal state of consciousness. These words don't describe it well, but hope it gives an idea.

Can't be sure, but sounds like you were about to have a body exit, is all... you are supposed to ride the vibrations until they pass and then step out or roll out of bed in the astral plane.

@seeking_brilliance I did exit the body. I remember feeling/ watching myself from outside the room, which was very freaky. Like I was watching myself thru another entity.

To me this was a full blown paranormal experience, since there wasn't a substance to blame. But it had psychedelic like intensity.

Maybe it had something to do with chakras? Though I don't do yoga. My body became one flow of energy, radiating it. I felt this flow from toes to front of head (third eye?!).

@seeking_brilliance Never. I have no sleep related problems. Only experiences during sleep were 2 non-dual/nothingness dissolution a few months ago, though they were nice and simple. No energy stuff.

This one had a strong alien/inhuman/freaky vibe to it.
