Here is some Truth -

1. Unless you have had your LSD analysed you cannot rely on your suppliers assertions re the dosage. Marketing is after all a thing;

2. I've been called a nit-picker for questioning dosages and here I go again. Milligrams of LSD? And 200mg (eg 1/5th of a gram which equals 200000mcg) tabs? Come on people- ignorance is a poor ally in this work;

3. Taking lots of psychedelics with poorly considered intentions , lots of expectations and little integration is wasteful and short-sighted. There is a limit to what they can do for you and should be used skilfully to facilitate the work rather than believing they do the work for you.

4. Overuse causes diminishing returns.

@Justine Hi. Can I ask you about your experience with l-theanine please? I'm considering it for it's anti anxiety and calming properties. I was wondering on what dose you were using and it it was powder or tablet etc? Thanks.

did you know that l-theanin is serotonin reducing? so it`s kind of nice to use it to get a calmer mind but it may resolve in an emotionless state,

I'm not trying to be awkward but this is a powerful statement to make, where did you get your information on to have this idea? I know a quick Google around makes reference to impacted serotonin levels, but to reduce serotonin? Half the time trained scientists don't even seem to know enough to make such a bold statement.

Not saying you lying friend, not at all, just curious my friend that's all.

@Bill W You can pm me anytime ya like.  I tried em all, to see. Nothing ‘stuck’.  L-theanine was calming / relaxing. Pharma Gabba also. If someone is looking for a reduction in thinking, to “slow things down”, they work pretty well. (Loving this Bill...was more to the open mindedness, the ‘waking up’ ness I’m seein... trying stuff like L-theanine, not specifically about it ♥️)

@Corpus Yeah, I commented that too but it seems some people have some magic power to know how pure is their LSD. I can attest even LSD straight from the lab sources have been underdosed.  Everybody thinks their dealer is the "shit" until they go analize it (but almost nobody does, because again, everybody thinks their dealer is the shit) and turns out it was heavely underdosed (like most street acid) LOL

@Bill W yes you are right i probably used the wrong term - it’s blocking the serotonin and reducing concentration of serotonin in rats - read that on german wikipedia. i‘m not sure if serotonin is produced or always around - so probably in a biochemical correct language it would sound different. i also don’t know the difference between rats brains and human brains. but for me it sounds plausible as when i‘m super happy there sometimes is also more brain fog or you could say sunshine is sometimes blindfolding without glasses - l‘theanin feels like a more cool coloured set of sunglasses ? or goes more into the neon light direction. while a high serotonin level feels like pink glasses or a warmer tone into turquoise. so ltheanin still calms down but i‘m not unhappy with it, it feels more neutral, so i don’t know it’s effect on people with depression, but for me rhodiola seems to be the better  agent here.

@remember Hey thanks for getting back to me. In the meantime I've opted against the L-Theanine. All respect to people who have found it helpful though, but personally, I fear i will up endlessly looking for the solutions to my anxiety through external things again. I've a history of trying to take short cuts in my mental wellbeing. I'm not saying that's what others are doing, but I can't be trusted with pills and supplements. It's been proven LOL, over and over again xD

Although saying that I am on an SSRI long-term for OCD, which is probably another reason to be ultra careful in trying to meddle with my neurotransmitters any further via pills and just to focus on using my behaviour and learning to straighten out my head and stop me from going insane.

I've been thinking about supplements most of today hence me looking like I've done a complete u-turn straight away.  But thought and research has been ongoing today and the Jury has reached a verdict. :ph34r:

@Bill W ah but l-theanin does not produce addictions - same as rhodiola. rhodiola is a really good stabilizer it’s not only a neutropic but also an adaptogen means it has a stabilizing effect on the brain - i only take them in cases of backlashes or phases of more instability or to secure my performance if i have intense projects. both help against emotional distraction a little. (and i‘m a really careful observer - some people would maybe not feel big differences. but it’s more than with placebo, i tried different things.)

All of this is fine, just pace yourself better.

Hey Leo, what do you think is the best way to pace yourself when doing all this personal development + Spiritual growth work? I'm pretty new to the forum and I'm quite astonished to read about all the things I don't know about its quite mind-boggling and it feels overwhelming. I'm currently meditating at least once a day for an hour or more and reading as much of the books on the booklist. I feel like slow in steady seems to be the way.

It's almost impossible to answer that. Everyone's path is so unique. The most important thing is not to do what I tell you, but to go inside yourself, connect with your heart, and listen to what it tells you you should do next.

You want to get good at leading yourself and following your own compass (intuiton and heart). You do this by going into solitude and quiet contemplation, and asking yourself powerful questions that open your mind.

Reading those books and watching videos is a good launching off point. You need to arm yourself with quality information and ideas of what's possible and what's worthwhile to pursue. Don't be afraid to invest a few years just reading, watching, and taking notes. You need a decent vision of where you're headed and why.

Yes, slow and steady is key. Be a tortoise not a hare.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
