Your best spiritual experiences

10 posts in this topic

Now as the year draws to a close and the new one dawns, one feels the need for renewal and inspiration. I wish again for a spiritual breakthrough and fervently hope that sooner rather than later I will experience non-duality, the universal soul, higher realms - call it what you will.

Could we please ask members to post their best spiritual experiences here, however attained - through meditation or otherwise. This will be an inspirational thread to read.

Embodying non-duality and integrating it to daily life. Awakening is nothing if one cannot embody it.

I would say look beyond experiences, while great, integration and embodiment are what matter.

living life moment to moment as a spontaneous flow is what has made my year special, living life knowing everyone is merely an expression of The Self, and is me is what has transformed my life. Living life fully embedded in the Now, whatever that may be is what has revolutionised my experience.

If you’re looking for experiences what helped me most was RASA, and working with a teacher 1-1, but what matters most to me is truly embodying it and feeling like I’ve been reborn again compared to my level of conscious awareness this time last year (mild depression and avid overthinker).

Awakening is an inside joke. I love the idea of sharing experiences but they just don't translate into words well at all. It's like when you buy something for China off amazon and read the directions and you just shake your head and ask yourself "what the fuck did I just read?". It's because the way it comes through is so personally unique to you and the things you've wanted and experienced through life. Spiritual experiences are personalized gifts for you.

And it's so interconnected and complicated with everything you've wanted or experienced over the course of your life that you'd have to write a book to explain it all and how it fits in. The awakening would just be the end when it's revealed how all those things came together in the end and fit together like a puzzle.

My point is divorcing the "high" from the mundane "rest of the story" of life just doesn't work that well.

The realisation that God is in charge and I am not. This I learned, and continue to learn, through my participation in Alcoholics Anonymous.
