Overcoming selfish cravings does not look like any particular outward state, decision or life situation. Love without attachment is a paradoxical overcoming and surrender to.

@4th-jhana Do you feel that sex can only be selfish cravings? Do you feel that sex with someone you love is not beautiful? Its unfortunate and sad that so many people just see ugliness in sex.

I agree with Tantra that sex with the right person can be intensely beautiful and spiritual.

For someone that feels that sex is only selfish cravings for them, celibacy might be better. I dont fit in that category though so its a personal thing.

Its usually after a series of poor lifestyle choices that someone then finds Jesus. There's of course the outlier.

You actually can't transcend something you didn't lust for and failed to maintain numerous time (with understanding and cobsciousness shining on it).

That's spiritual bypassing to think you can do that, and it will fuck you in the ass sooner or later.
