The Goal of the Spiritual Path

10 posts in this topic

What is the ultimate goal of the spiritual journey?

I mean, like the deepest and the last awakening you can ever have. Such as, you are done after this

Is it simply merging into existence and being like in deep sleep for eternity?

Is it heaven like in the christianity? No suffering and imaginable infinite eternal joy?

Can a human actually develop itself to that level in his lifetime?

What is the purpose of all of this?

I know that I probably won't get the absolute answer on this question from you, just want to know your thoughts ;)

To see perfection in everything ❤

You're not a human being, you're imagining you're one.

Even if you were a rock you could awaken, no shit.

God is love

Whoever lives in love lives in God

And God in them

There's no done. And...it's already done. The author of a book is living their happily ever after, dreaming and creating a story, even though they might write harrowing or torturous scenes they love their characters as an aspect of themselves and their imagination the entire time.

As Alan Watts said, but summarized in my own words, the Christian idea of heaven is boring AF. You came for this. Maybe your story has a happy ending where all the pieces fall into place, or maybe there are questions left unanswered, you're the author. Don't judge a book by its ending.

Arriving home.

being stabilised in absolute peace and happiness, the unshakeable absolute.

then what you might ask?

Go be happy, enjoy life and have fun, as your heart desires in each moment :)

The goal is to realize and meet God.

Then go full circle.

Full circle again and yet again.

"Did man emerge from non-being through his own device? Was he his own creator? Did mankind create the heavens and earth? Certainly they do not know God."

Beauty at play.
