Yes.

Because The Highest Level Of Enlightenment Recognizes And Experiences The Infinitude Of Universal Tenderness And Responds To It With Infinite Warmth Of Heart.

If i remember correctly, he said he'd let go of some sort of end stage such as enlightenment. Exploring reality through psychedelics goes way deeper than a loss of a self or in other words "enlightenment".
