No I've never meet him in the flesh. The closest I've ever been to Ram Dass on the physical plan is holding the same book he once held.

@cetus56 Damn! I’ve only found out today that he died! I was reading his wiki page when I noticed the word ‘was’ instead of ‘is’. I’ve listened to many of his podcasts and he has really helped me awaken. His lectures gave me the motivation to carry on my spiritual path. I thank him greatly. 

Yeah the physical plane is insignificant. In my mind, Ram Dass was closer to me than most people I know physically. One of the strange effects from the internet age.
