What is consciousness and how does it affect reality?

I'm fascinated by the idea of reality being created by your consciousness.

Are dreams just as "real" as "reality"? Do they simply exist on a different plane of reality, also created by your consciousness?

Can two people share the reality of one dream as we share the reality of "real life"?

Is "real life" simply a plane of reality that is experienced outside of even another "reality" of which we don't have memories of in this reality?

What are your thoughts on consciousness and reality?

Yes. All (not just 2) people in your dream are also indivduatted points of consiousness co-creation that dream as you do this current waking dream.

Everything that happens is real, but can have different qualities. That's why you can walk through hallucinated or dreamt wall - it lacks quality of physicality, but that doesn't mean it's not real. It is simply what it is.

There are no planes of reality. Everything is just one Reality. The distinction between dream and waking state is something you have constructed. If you invastigate it closely with enough consciousness you will notice that the gap between those states doesn't exist and it's one seamless experience without begining or end.

There is only Consciousness, so it's pointless to say "your consciousness" as it implies there could be some other kind of consciousness. The thing you currently identify with is more of a limiter of consciousness, than consciousness itself.

its the same as what you just posted on the principle of mentalism.  That reality is a mind. Just different wording.

Consciousness = reality. 

What’s in front of you right now is consciousness. Phones just believe the wifi is theirs.

Careful not to twist words around.  If reality is a mind - then reality is consciousness.  Consciousness is God (its intelligence, Love, etc).  What consciousness imagines still is God.  The part is still the whole because its all one thing.  All of the parts being imagined (everything) are also still the whole.
