What is the Divine Feminine?

39 posts in this topic

@mandyjw God is not anything like creation. Without a son or daughter.

Even the angels are genderless.

@Angelite Yes but God includes all of creation itself, otherwise God would be a something.

@V-8 In the true "depth" there ceases feminine or masculine or any duality at all. In the Tao Te Ching, the feminine is described as being both subservient and supreme.

. To fuse and accept God with yourself means complete loss of gender or any identity at all, when you separate God, or the Tao out again, they may appear as a certain way.  Facets and insights come to you with their own flavor. We just use duality to describe and communicate them.

To fuse "god" or things "divine" with yourself, condemns you to the One/Duality Loop,...cycles of perceived births and death,...locked into the 6th Density.

Yes,...Brahma, God, Creator, Allah, all things Divine are of the One.

“He who thinks of mind in terms of One or Many casts away the light and enters delusion” - Saraha

Only sentient beings believe in Oneness, and things divine.

"Sensing is but an electric tension set up by the seeming division of one into many which "strain" to fulfill their desire for oneness" - Walter Russell

A story says that a Brahman saw the Buddha resting under a tree. The Brahman was impressed with the Buddha's way.
He asked, "Are you a god?"
"No, Brahman, I'm not a god."
"Are you an angel?"
"No", replied the Buddha.
"You must be a spirit then?"
"No, I'm not a spirit," said the Buddha.
"Then what are you?"
"I'm awake."

To be AWAKE,...is far, far better than being locked or fused with god.

There’s a story in the Kevatta Sutta of a talented monk who wanted to find out the answer to the question, “Where do the four elements cease without remainder?” Through meditation he reached the Heaven of the Four Great Kings, who did not know the answer. Next he went to the thirty three gods in a higher Desire Realm heaven, but none of these rulers knew either. He then asked King Sakka (Indra), the king of these gods, but Sakka did not know the answer. Up and up he went asking all sorts of gods at each and every higher level. Finally he came to Great Brahma, the Creator, Uncreated, Knower of All.
When the monk finally achieved an audience with Great Brahma, Brahma appeared in all his majesty and glory announcing, "I am Great Brahma, the Conqueror, the Unconquered, the All-Seeing, All-Powerful, the Lord, the Maker and Creator, the Ruler, Appointer and Orderer, Father of All That Have Been and Shall Be." The monk then humbly and respectfully asked his question, but all Great Brahma did was repeat, "I am Great Brahma, the Conqueror, the Unconquered, the All-Seeing, All-Powerful, the Lord, the Maker and Creator, the Ruler, Appointer and Orderer, Father of All That Have Been and Shall Be."
The monk eventually got frustrated and said, “I know you are "Great Brahma, the Conqueror, the Unconquered, the All-Seeing, All-Powerful, the Lord, the Maker and Creator, the Ruler, Appointer and Orderer, Father of All That Have Been and Shall Be," but I asked you a question about where the four elements cease without remainder. The Great Brahma replied, “Listen little monk, don’t embarrass me. All these other gods are listening and think I know everything. If you want to know the answer to a question like that, don’t ask me. I don’t know the answer. For a question like that, you have to go ask the Buddha.”

Do you get it?

@V-8 Only the masculine would suggest that cycles are undesirable. Why does the Divine feminine worship the moon after all? It's known to be a symbol of cycles, to aid in creation. Going round and round is only a problem if you aren't enjoying it. To others it's a dance.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpmTe3TDdVU

@V-8 no. I don't get it.

It surely is different than prophet Muhammad's ascension.

Your description of Adam & Eve is different than those in the Qurān.

Your "God" is my definition of "creation".

[God includes all of creation itself] < Allah

...

[6:100] But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters. Exalted is He and high above what they describe

[6:101] [He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

[6:102] That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.

[6:103] Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted.

[6:104] There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you."

:)

The moon, in my religion, is one of the prophet's miracle. When he cut it into a half moon.

The ratio of male & female is one to two. One male is equal to two female. «Said Nursi»

because a woman practice only half of the religion. While a man will have to practice everything at all times.

@Angelite yes, the menstrual cycle is governed by the moon, hence the divine feminine is associated with the moon. Matriarchal societies traditionally worshipped the moon, Luna, Vs patriarchal societies, that worshipped the sun, Sol.

Oh my! So many words, so many opinions. And here I was feeling sorry for myself because Leo is changing his mind just when I found him. Now there's a miracle for you. Such a lot of trouble that I am saved. I arrived, miracles occurred, things that I thought of and there they were, An understanding of love.... WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT, ALFIE?

Here's the challenge my bunkies...Learn to LIVE. Fully mindful, in the one moment. Good luck with all that wisdom and religion. Do some psychedelics, awaken, and then what? Where is the intention? What's the game plan?

@mandyjw it is not to be agreed or disagreed. It is a statement.

For example, if your parents died, your brother will inherit twice as much as you would of what was left by your parents if you're a female.

Abrahamic religion is neither. We are not allowed to worship creations. Sol & moon.

@Angelite The notion that a woman is worth half of a man is a horrific example of dogma created for survival purposes (notice who that benefits), and misunderstanding.

Each Abrahamic religion is different in this respect. Christianity is solar. Jesus is symbolic of the sun, if you look at the imagery. His disciples are the 12 zodiac signs.

Islam, you would think is Solar, but of course the Crescent Moon and the Black Cube of Kaba would indicate otherwise. I don't know much about Islam, but I have a hunch, that it may well be Lunar at its roots, at least in its pre-Islamic form.

Judaism is an interesting case. On the surface, it may look Solar and Male, but beyond the service, of course it is a matrilineal society and in the Kabbalah, the divine feminine, especially in terms of the Shekinah, plays an important role.

All religions are stories. Taken literally, they become beliefs and dogma, because there is truth and false, there is a true religion and false religions. When beliefs have been let go of, and faith, love and desire to know remains, the truth of the pointers of the stories is seen clearly, and the stories themselves take on a deeper kind of truth. There is no religion that has the truth, each uses symbols and stories that use symbols and pointers. Even for those who has seen the truth of the pointers, studying an unfamiliar religion can be like trying to make sense of a different language. It makes sense, but you still have to put a lot of investment into learning it before you can make sense of it. All religion has ever been is an attempt to explain the unexplainable.

By Abraham, I mean prophet Abraham himself. His enlightenment occur when he do "creation-inquiry" instead of "self inquiry".

Another important question to ask is, what is the difference between worship and deep love and appreciation?

I think I had wrote about it in WhoWantsTruthpart2.  At soul level man & woman would be the same. But at human level we're different.

Basically, it will only work for muslims. If you take the teachings as a whole. I wouldn't be surprised if someone would take this 1:2 ratio and corrupt it if they are not fully practicing.

It is interconnected to every other rules. Inheritance, family laws, male & female dynamic etc.

@Angelite What is respect, it is a form of love or is respect an acknowledgement of power? Is it possible to love power as an aspect of oneself? Is it possible to respect something without fearing it?
