Shadow Work: 3-2-1-love. My spin on it

2 posts in this topic

I'm reading The Religion of Tomorrow by Ken Wilber. In it, he describes his shadow work process of 3-2-1 or 3-2-1-0

I've been doing 3-2-1, where basically you find something that bothers you or the opposite, which is an it, 3rd person. you then talk to it, 2nd person, then reown it, 1st person.

Yesterday I did this with a person that bothers me. At the 2nd person part, it became clear that they didn't deserve so harsh a feeling from me. At 1st person, it became clear that this was a part of me I didn't like. At that point, I decided to practice self-love. It seems to me that the best thing to do at that point is love that disowned part of the self.

I did it just like this method

? great. Good luck.

I also read it in this book and it helps me.

The great insight is that anger is always a second order emotion that covers the real one which is fear.

🌻 Thinking independently about the spiral stages themselves is important for going through them in an organic, efficient way. If you stick to an external idea about how a stage should be you lose touch with its real self customized process trying to happen inside you.
