No there definitely is stuff to be shit scared about. I've experienced both euphoria beyond imagination and insane level pain and stress that nothing in normal life can compare to and that's coming from someone who has been in prison and had guns pressed to their head, plus many, many other extremely stressful things.

Shit, just connecting with my pituitary gland, gave me visions of horror beyond imagination, but I didn't mind that much at all. Not compared to the insane level scarcity environments I've touched.

Luckily for normal people, their not capable enough to access either poles of that intensity. Well lucky isn't really the word, because those environments serve a purpose. I'm thankful for both sides of experience and that's knowing I'll eventually have to return to them.

@ChimpBrain  i agree that these experiences may have been collectivelly induced, but this doesn't mean they have no value. 

the permission slip used to touch higher conscioussness has no significance, what matters is the pull it leaves, the traction.

for me, they even got a plus there, cause if they faked it their fakeness was exposed

I didn't mean to imply that they had no value. I just felt the need to voice a little skepticism because this looked all too familiar. You're right, from what little I know all the ways of achieving a higher consciousness seem to have some value whether it's through fasting, meditation, sweat lodges, psychedelics, ceremonies that involve severe pain, yoga, or whatever else. I'm just more skeptical of those achieved by organized religion because of my first hand experience with it I guess. Which is probably not even fair because when I look at it objectively I would of course rather achieve it by being "saved" than I would to go through a bullet ant glove ceremony, have my foreskin removed with a sharp stick as a teenager, have a thousand little cuts from head to toe, or whatever other heinous shit various cultures have come up with over the centuries.
