I feel like I lost the trust in myself and the believe that I can hit my goals because I haven’t reached many goals / targets I have set for myself in the past few months.

That’s why I am often discouraged when I work for my new project.

How do I regain the believe?

What are your thoughts on this topic or your advice?

Change your focus. Focus on positive visions that elates you, and not negative motivations (like avoiding failure).

If you feel like you are consistently reliving past failures emotionally you might want to do some grieving, in order to get it out of your body. Grieve the suffering you have endured and see, really vividly, how hard it was for you. Let those beautiful tears pour out. Trust me, you will feel lighter, and those painful feelings won't be seeping into your consciousness anymore.

Emotional problems require emotional solutions. :P

@Spiral Wizard A belief = a thought, arising right now. The thought arising now suggests it is about a past, trust, and belief. Without the story, you’re entirely, spontaneous, entirely, wholly, completely, magically, insanely, joyously, free.

You are not the “self” in this story. You the real deal aware of a single arising thought, and it’s implication.

Why’s it seem hard to simply - not believe the story about you?

Because of the feelings “attached to it”.

But the feelings are not attached, to anything, ever. The feeling, that “down on yourself” feeling...that’s what you should be listening to. The feeling is saying drop the story about you, “it’s not true!”. You’re unstoppable, you’re The Spiral Wizard for God’s sake. No one can stop you!

That happened on its own a few days ago. I felt a big relive, but I also felt like there is much more to cure.
Should I just dwell on the pain to provoke tears or is the emotional part fixed and now I need to find a different solution?

@Nahm I love that, but for me that is easier said than done. Is it possible to do that before an enlightenment experience, just through trying and letting go?

There's probably a lot more. :) Of course, like anything it can get excessive, but don't be afraid of "dwelling" over things. Grieving is a very healthy habit to have, in order to resolve emotional baggage. The whole "letting go" thing really tends to happen naturally once you get it out of your system through tears, and it happens on much deeper level since you're involving your entire body.

So yeah, get out all the tears that you can muster, dig deep into your past if you must. After a while you will notice all the pain inside you dissipating, and you will feel lighter on a consistent basis. This has the potential of healing very, very deep-seated issues. The two are the same. Enlightenment can never be actual, if it’s being held as a thought about the future, nor is it an experience. It’s the actuality right now...already...and added to it is the thought story about needing results to feel better, it being easier said than done, etc.

Writing out your perspectives, along with the opposite perspectives, really reveals, in feelings, the shift I’m pointing to here. Transcending a perspective can be done in minutes, clearing the mind, allowing purification the way. Letting those narratives go will trigger release of identity & misunderstood emotion.

As a broad stroke, you’re neck deep in how, and measuring yourself by comparison to others and or an idea of yourself. A few hero’s doses of Why on your dreamboard can open up perspective greatly. This place is for you man. Nobody goes to Disneyland to compare & measure their outcomes and results of fun-ness.
