Does any body know any high conscious way to entertainyourself and relax after work?

hey guy, so I really, really really need to sort this problem out once and for all asap !!! over the past 3 years of self-actualization work I have been minimizing my lifestyle so much to the point where I literally have fuck all to do with my free time after work in the evenings. to give you an idea of my lifestyle I work at a coffee stall 2 days a week and I also work at a special needs school after I finished the coffee stall on those same 2 days also in the morning before I got to work on those two days I have already done 1hr of contemplation and 20mins of meditation. I then the rest of my week doing 4 days of  self-actualization work such as 1hr contemplation, 20 mins meditation, 1hrs blog writing, 4hrs working on my business, 2hrs of reading and  i just  I have 4hrs of the evening left before I go to bed and in those 4 hours i usually tear my hair out and have no idea what to do with my self, i want to work on my business but i know if i do that when i will create a workaholism addiction. I have also quit tv, youtube, random internet surfing, porn, class A drugs, drinking and many other things over the past 3 years so i literally have fuckkkk all to do with myself and over the past 3 months my old addiction for weed has come back into my life so every evening I smoke a few joints and just blitz out to music and i know its really really really bad and it will destroy my life in the long run due to health issues and motivation issues, potential creativity issues, pre mature or erectule dysfunction issues  etc so i really need some new ways to entertain myself in the evenings which is not smoking weed. has anyone got any suggestions of how to consciously entertain one's self which does not have anything to do with personal development or spiritual development? i have done plenty of self-actualization work by the time i smoke weed in the evening so the last thing i need to do is fill my evening s up with more self-actualization work

@Tom T join a gym - preferably one with a sauna and a steam room.   Do some weights and cardio - then sit in the sauna and take a cold shower after.  You will feel great!

@Tom T Consciousness is not something you do, but something that is developed naturally as you just do what you do.

Trying to force things doesn't work, but just non judgementally observing your normal day to day behaviours will eventually have the effect of you deciding to just quit the need for "entertainment" and just be.

Then you may join a forum and dedicate some of your time attempting to help others in their journey ?

@Tom T I've also been through all of this and end up with too much time what would be helpful is to invest some time into learning new skills that you are about for the sake of it, like dancing, painting, playing an instrument or just start reading books you find interesting (no self improvement). Time will just fly by once you found something that is meaningfully engaging to you.

Every time I have some spare time I try to watch one movie of the IMDb 250 list because I just love Cinema. Its not really that productive aside from what you get out of the movie. But I just love absorbing those masterpieces of cinematography for the sake of it.

I don't understand the question I guess?.  I was raised without TV or video games and so there is an endless amount of things that I have learned how to do so I will do lots of stuff like drawing pottery maybe work on a hand pan if I'm not to wore out from the day. There's just something to always do so maybe you should learn a new hobby that you find fun and can do without costing you or something like that?.

3 years of self-actualization work

How beneficial has the self-actualization work been, it sounds organized and you spent a whole 3 years on it

You could start by trying to drop all the negative judgments you have towards marijuana. You could just consciously smoke weed instead of "blitz out to music". Maybe the error isn't the tool itself but how you're using it?

If you smash your skull in with a hammer instead of hitting the intended nail in the wall it's not the hammers fault. See what I'm saying?

Theres a myriad of other things you can do with marijuana such as meditate, read, learn an instrument, draw, do yoga, journal, etc. The list goes on. And all of which can be done stoned... or sober. Your choice.

Personally, my favorite thing to do to chill out at night is turn off all screens and read by candle light for an hour before bed... hope that helps bro.

The game of survival cannot be won.

Ideally you'd get to a point where you are satisfied with just sitting silence. But that's a tall order to fill.

I like to take late night drives around town and look at the city.

Act activity you do you're gonna eventually "wear out" unless you're able to be satisfied just sitting in silence like a cat.

The ego-mind constantly craves stimulation, excitement, and newness -- which creates suffering. A large part of the function of meditation is to train that out of you so you can be more cat-like and thrive off of presence and being alone. But again, this takes lots of training and it will come with suffering through lots of boredom which the ego-mind will create.

Imagine a state of mental development in which you are happier sitting like a cat than others are playing video games, watching movies, smoking pot, or having sex. Can you see how powerful this would make you?

I've felt the most happiness in my life from meditation.

Hey everyone thanks you very much for your reply !!!

@Serotoninluv thank you for your advice,

@Inliytened1 yes I have thought about going to a stream room but there are non where l live although i may be moving to a city near my house this or next year so it will hopefully be possible to do them !!!

@Leo Gura Aha yess that was in the back of my mind, that would be the ultimate ideal but im not sure if my baseline level of consciousness is that high to be able to pull that off consistently which means the answer to my question is to just raise my  consciousness to the point where i could do that, over the past 6 months I have put my spiritual development aside so I can focus on more basic personal development stuff like my career and basic relationship self-help stuff, i find it very tricky to balance no mind while trying to startup a business at the same time becuase after a mediation retreat with lots of psychadelics im so conscious and comftable that i stop being so motivated to work on my business and I also have fewer addictions becuase im already statisfied but then when i work on my busienss loads and neglect my spiritual developent i start picking up all sorts of bad habits again like weed etc.  but i think what im going to try to do is get back into my meditation retreats once every 3 months and replace my 20 mins of meditation daily with 30 mi of kriya yoga daily and just sit in silence during the evenings, im going to try to do this for the next 90 days and see how it goes (maybe a few 5 meo sessions may help me get back into the groove lol) im going to try that and see how it goes, maybe ill have a massive ego backlash and it be too much for me or maybe i can pull it off lol well see how it goes. I did my last meditation retreat about 6 months ago and i had a massive ego backlash and have not planned another retreat since but im going to play it by ear and see how it goes.  Thanks for the advice man !!!

Anyway thanks for the suggestions everyone has been a massive help !!! sorry if iv left some people out of my tags but many thanks to you all !!!

@Nak KhidNak Khid my self-actualization has been tremendously beneficial, long story short i was depressed, anxious, filled with self-hate, addicted to class A drugs, had bulimia, was horrible at sex, was horrible socializing etc and now i am a completely different person through the whole self-actualization process and i have that big picture leo talks about which is like a superpower were i can do whatever i want with no limits basically but i still have problems and i still probably have like 10 years of self-actualization work to do as im still really really inadequate at embodying al the deep insights i understand intellectually but i need to work on embodying them energetically which will take many years but yeah to answer your question my self-actualization has definitely been beneficial.

I am using a new account named "Nightwise". In in fact intend to stop using this account from now on and use that account instead. So I am not planning on using these two account interchangeably or intermittently. Only "Nightwise" from now on. I am doing so merely because I like the username much more. For some reason, that feels to be important to me.

@Leo Gura I used your simple advice to just sit down and force myself to meditate for 4 hours every evening and to be honest I thought id just get really bored and not be able to pull it off but it's been going well over the past 4 days, iv been meditating for 3 years so my minds can be pretty still if i force myself to sit down and meditate,  iv had no cravings for weed anymore and I also wake up 3hours earlier than usual because iv been getting a better sleep because of it so all is sweet !!! thank you for your wisdom as always man !! :) I stopped my spiritual work for about 6 months or so because I was focusing on my business and I think that's why I picked up the bad habit again because i was disconnected from my spiritual work but i think I'm going to get back into it and keep it up and try to balance it with building my life purpose !!! will see how it goes and thank you very much once again :)
