Permission Slips

Hi guys,

What are your opinions on the topic of permission slips? 

If you are not familiar, this is a term I picked up from Bashar. Basically it means that you are an infinite being that can do basically anything and everything, absolutely without any limitation, but you took on some limitation, and sometimes you give yourself "permission slips" that allow you to get some of those infinite abilities back.

He says any tool, ritual, practice is a permission slip. So Kriya yoga, psychedelics, books, medicine, exercises you do are just arbitrary gates that allow you to gain your freedom back and do what you desire. So, when you take psychedelics, no brain chemistry is happening, this just gives you permission to experience yourself as a crazy infinite fractal.

This could be expanded, even more, the people in your life are permission slips which allow you to experience the parts of your infinite self that are about unity and compassion, or even otherwise, your brutal nature, judgemental, etc. 

I'm absolutely in love with this concept, and it has become a strange loop, I'm giving myself a permission slip of permission slips

@aclokay Yes indeed. Your post brings the ‘path of least resistance’ philosophy to mind. Maybe a permission slip isn’t needed at all, because it’s just a permission slip, and maybe it’s just easier to write whatever permission slips you want to write. It is ‘of the Truth’ though, very much so. This can lead nicely into the realization the finite mind is not actual, but self imposed imitation as well. But don’t go losing your mind over it.
