Anhedonia And Meditation

So about a month ago, I started trying strong determination sitting and did 3 sessions. This may sound crazy but I think it triggered anhedonia in me, as it came out of the blue and all of a sudden I had no capacity to experience pleasure or positive emotion. Maybe it was a coincidence. I'm slowly regaining my emotions back but I have been extremely depressed the last few weeks. Anyone have any negative experiences with such intense meditations? I'm scared to try it again.

Hi Joel,

no I never have any negative experiences with meditating..

Maybe it comes from the fact that I always meditate in a way that I like. I mean, I think about what kind of meditation I need in this moment and I just do it.. Without any effort, just in flow with my mood or needs..

I don't think you have to be that hart to yourself.. Meditation give you the possiblity to find yourself and understand a lot of things better.. It's not a war.. Be kind to yourself :)
