The level of cruel volionce in a country and spriral dynamics stage

3 posts in this topic

Let's take some SE Asia countries. They're very safe, you won't experience crime almost at all at any time of a day and night in any place. There's a firm destinction "local vs foreigner". Everything is convervative. There's information sensorship, sex is talked about freely.

Let's take Mexico and some Latin American countries. They aren't safe. However, in there whether you be a local or foreigner, you're treated more or less equally. People are more progressive and modern. The governments are too. The girls are more open minded, wear more sexy clothers. Sex topic isn't a taboo.

How come that on one hand people don't commit violent crime against each other, but are conservative?

On the other hand, people do commit crime, but are more modern?

Namely, commiting crime is a trait of a lower spyral dinamic stage. And so is convervativism.

Spiral Dynamics isn't an exhaustive model of human societies by any stretch of the imagination. It leaves out many factors including history, local culture, specifics of religion, etc.

Also, I would say SE countries are still dangerous, just not for foreigners (mostly.) There's a lot of crime and suffering that you wouldn't know about since it's just not relevant to you.

You can keep up a front of being "modern" while lower on the spiral
