For anyone who likes to assume the dentists know best when it comes to preventing cavities and what your teeth and gums need, check out this perspective (video). You might be suprised by how radically different dentistry practices can be from country to country, money plays a big part

some people brush their teeth with too much force and rigour which damages the gums

Yup, I was a freak since I was a kid about scrubbing my teeth, back and forth, hard, to clean them. Well, in my early 30's I had to have upper and lower gum surgery from slowly eroding my gums solely by brushing my teeth too hard and in the wrong manner.

Thank goodness I dont have a gummy smile and the top isn't noticable anyway because of how the surgery was done, but one of the most painful things I've ever had to go through.

Anyways, use a soft bristle toothbrush (with flouride- prevents cavities), in an up/down and circular motion (never back and forth), twice a day.

Just be safe and get the non fluoridated toothpaste, it will often be the same price as the fluoridated one. And be sure to floss and get a natural mouth rinse. Sometimes I even dilute a few drops of lemongrass or tea tree essential oils in a few ounces of water and use it as mouth-rinse, which makes my teeth feel insanely fresh.

Don't neglect your oral health, it doesn't just exist in a vacuum, it will impact the other parts of your body as well and approve your smile and maybe even boost your confidence talking to others.

Thank you. Oral health is important because it effects whole lot of others things too...

If you have a healthy diet and lifestyle you can do fine with just rinsing with warm water and sea salt after meals and before bed. The body knows how to take care of itself if you treat it right. Allow it to shine!

No need to complicate things. Life is simple.
