How the hell did Hegel know about non-dual/buddhist ideas?

In his book Science of logic , he says things like-

- Being is identical to nothing.
- The determination of 'Something' is nothing. ( Like saying- the essence of something  is nothing)
- Hegel says that everything happens in the mind. There is only the mind. 
- Says that being arises out of nothing and nothing arises out of being.
- Says that 'being' is the negative and the finite, while the positive or affirmitive is non-being.

I haven't read anywhere that he was a meditator or a psychonaut or had read Buddhism, but for some reason he is coming up with these ideas. I have  no idea why?

The mistake is assuming Buddhism is somehow original. Buddhism just mirrors reality.

Hegel doesn't need to know about Buddhism, he just need to be conscious of reality.

He was a Christian and he deeply understood Christianity. Not as it's practiced today, but in the old school idealist mystical sense.

The irony is that a lot of old philosophers and scientists were more right about metaphysics than scientists are today precisely because they were Christians, and Christianity is grounded in the deepest truth there is. It just happens to also be very corrupt. So the real question is, How did Hegel manage to escape the corruption of Christianity?

Hegel may not have been a meditator in the Buddhist sense, but he was obviously a deep contemplator and closely studied his direct experience. Which is the equivalent of meditation.

He also deeply studied Heraclitus.

When Heraclitus was asked, How did you become enlightened? He replied,

"I studied myself."

He read books, just like Schopenhauer had a copy of The Upanishads, it wasnt the stone age, you could had access if you were open-minded and not poor.

The Holy Spirit. If you know how to read, study and contemplate for yourself, the Bible itself really isn't all that misleading. My guess is that he studied for himself and didn't pay attention to people's words or interpretations. 

In my highschool art class we had to learn calligraphy and make a poster out of a favorite quote. I chose Hegel's "Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion." My mom told me at the time that she thought Hegel was a communist but it's still hanging up in their house.

His biographer, jacques d'hondt, "suggests" Hegel was into masonry or probably the illuminati of baviera, easy acces to meta knowledge.
