Meditation vs Holotropic Breathwork

2 posts in this topic

Guys, I have been doing Holotropic Breathwork for about 3 weeks. Everything is going good. I feel like now I'm much more aware of my surroundings and within myself. So, I am thinking to continue Holotropic Breathwork. But my doubt is, is it better than Meditation? Or are they both same? I have read online about Holotropic breathwork and I came to know that it increases consciousness and cures addictions. Also, I have Schizophrenia(no hallucinations) and I've seen no issues while doing Holotropic Breathwork. So, which one should I do?

@capriciousduck I don't know how schizophrenic you are, but maybe also try something like Kriya Yoga, also what do you consider Schizophrenic? Kriya Yoga works good at gradually increasing your level of baseline consciousness and in doing so helps to still the mind, body, and bring the emotional system to gradually be purified rather than the very masculine process of holotropic breathwork.

Also seems like it might be a good thing to just figure out what your goals are, then the answers would present themselves to you rather than you even having to ask. Write down what you want it helps a lot, and be real about it :)
