Why humans?

Another question I always had is why humans? Why humans are the one with the egos, are the ones who identify with the devil, are the destructive ones? Why isn't there another specie here who's cognitive capable as us or as conscious perhaps, as us?

Because we so good at being egos that we killed off all competition.

Bearing with the conditioned in gentleness, fording the river with resolution, not neglecting what is distant, not regarding one's companions; thus one may manage to walk in the middle. H11L2
