Why does media avoid talking about Amazon forest fires?

I'm ashamed to learn about this catastrophe through an Instagram post, but then again, there's only a handful of news outlets that cover this topic. Why do we keep it a secret?

I wouldn't say it's a secret (those are some major news sources you provided), it's just not high enough on people's information priorities. Make of that what you will, but in this particular case, I don't see any sort of media conspiracy going on.

Probably caused by deforestation equipment or something if it’s kept secret.  Although our media, at least our government-funded media has brought up the fires. Some fires in Spain also apparently.

Oh no, I didn't really consider any conspiracy theories and calling it a "secret" was more of an exaggeration. I was just shocked that I had to specifically look for these sources as nothing would come up by default. It's just some social media influencers who try to bring awareness to the matter but the rest of the major media sources stay quiet. (At least for now, probably until #Prayforamazonia explodes)

I posted an informative documentary on mining in the Peruvian rainforest, but because it requires time to watch- 1 hour, you poor poor things - and doesn't involve measuring spiral dynamics levels like penis size, folks aren't interested.

How does it serv me and society ?

Fulling your mind with hollow knowledge that only trigger your basic sense.

I don't watch any news at all. I watch many docs but they are not priority.

Have Mastery to do in drawing + music. Improving focus exercice. Reading etc etc etc

We all use our time with attention
