Doing nothing vs meditation??? i thought they were the same thing.     What do you do different in meditation then using the do nothing technique?

Ive been meditating using the do nothing technique simply sitting cross legged, eyes close and dont think any thoughts. (sometimes I do meditation with eyes open)

@Lorcan Meditation is more like trying not to think about anything and instead seeing thoughts as clouds which pass by that you don't get caught up in. Its more of like something you trying to do.

Doing nothing technique is just letting yourself to do whatever and just observing everything, even if you get caught up on thought stories.

@Lorcan @Mercy yeah I'm pretty sure do nothing and mindfulness are both a form of meditation as its all about the focus of the mind and thoughts, enlightenment work is also a form of meditation, they're all meditations! Lol

Let me tell you what a proper Zen teacher would do if you asked him this question. Smack you in the head.
