What is your worst habit?

Worst- Holding to many conflicting beliefs. If i see enough facts or even something argued very well Ill adopt it.

Yes-But I am not sure if refining them is the right way to go about it.

Come aware-I stopped indulging in addictive behaviors. I also blame that bastard Leo. Before him I had my politics and spirituality in nice separate little boxes. He dumped them both on the floor. Toke a dump on their contents and left me with the clean up.

Mainly checking facebook, instagram, whatsapp, YouTube for potential messages which I often don't recieve. It's all part of my internet addiction. I only suffer from it in isolation, when I'm around people I they have my full attention. Binge watching YouTube and streaming services also apply.

My current efforts to stop doing this is putting my phone in a locker that I have for money when I'm going to sleep. In my student dorm I only have one room and that makes it difficult to "hide" my phone. When I have a very busy life like going to my internship I have a strong routine which makes me more focused, but most of the year I have to go to class and now I'm free which makes me more prone to distraction.

I also struggle with a porn/masturbation addiction since I was 12 years old, I have achieved a one year no porn streak, 3 months of no fap an 6 months of no fap. My underlying problem is that I crave for human connection and this is my replacement. Currently I'm a week clean from porn.

A simple insight I got is that it's all based on choice, every day I can choose to not give in to my cravings, but that takes a lot of effort.

A more mental addiction I have is worrying and creating stories of how my life will be in the future and how people will use me which is very stressful. Some main addictions from the past I overcame are an unhealthy diet, gaming and judgement. I notice that when you do personal development your mind will change as all you learn and practice adds up and creates a new perspective on life gradually. I'm so happy that my level of judgement has decreased drastically in 1,5 years. I can feel that being open-minded creates a cleaner flow of information in my mind.

@Psyche_92 To me it's been like an addiction, another symptom of unattainable perfectionism. I know this is the wrong approach, but it happened.

@DrewNows you mean you consider other people's opinion??

@Leo Gura sorry I did... it goes in my notebook xD

@Keyhole I overcame that many times but again Iet myself go... each time I addict to something new in internet.. each time it gets more healthier I think... I deleted my Facebook and Instagram account last year.

Same for many of us ?

That's REALLY great man ????

@Sahil Pandit the same problem with me as well...

Sorry but I think it was a waste of time ? but what do I know. I am judgmetal... go on ?

I played online games, and worked on team to achieve goal, I talked to many people from differents opinion and behavior ( sure gamer in the rootcore, but every human is a bit ), always judged on their techniques and talking, cause we couldn't see them in real life ( no physical judgement, only soul judgement ).

When you got interest in video games more than in life itself, you see everything, the matrix of the game, you overthink the code, the algorythm and how the physics of it work.

I think it mainly depend of the interpretation, but most games can give you a simulation of a side of reality that you can expand your knowledge on.

In fact I even believe that video games are in possibility the more powerful technology we got to learn faster. Some world are so metaphoric of ours we can retrive and rethink even the "solid reality".

they teach me how to learn, and strive for a goal. When you work 1000 hours for just a title in the game, you understand what "farming" is, and that's a feature of life aswell. There is too much to contemplate in video games I could write a book about it.

And metaphorically speaking, video games are an extension of what we can see in reality, a huge part of reality is in video games. They are reality, they are not separate.

I don't play anymore that much cause they are all very "ORANGE".

but that's just because I feel that I have learned enough from them for now, I don't play not because I find them low consciousness, but I have no more interest right now for them.

as an Artist I can create pure visualisation of 3D model from my mind, there is no real distinction between games & reality.

the only things that change is "HOW" you played thoses games.

All activities are a waste and all are meaningful, depending the interpret firstly.

All experiences makes you grow, and this one is powerful as a dmt trip.

For me that's totaly logic that someone like leo was into level design gaming. They are one of the most closest things from god understanding right now.

Technology is an extension of god will.

having to work in team, create equilibrium, sense of goal, harmony within the team mates. ( reduce conflits, upgrade harmony ).

I didn't play wow ( running for power ) I was more into guild wars ( running for esthetic and "prestige" )

Skyrim is probably one of the top tier game for personnal growth to my experience. especially for "noobs"

when you butcher soldiers and burn them naked in the fire cause you stole their clothes, that gives you perspective.

Maybe you’re joking ?

it has nothing to do with others opinions but my own assumptions/limitations

@Jamison My feelings seems not to be stable in some cases. For some time I am so energetic, productive, eating healthy and doing exercise regularly but after few month I get down for days. I am not saying it's normal to be like this but I want to say when I am in those days I let myself be how it feels to be. I am not strict to myself and I let myself go through those down days because I know I WILL get myself together again and go back to normal.

Don't worry if you are in your down days. Even if it took so long. Maybe you needed it. Just start by little things to go back to normal.

@Aeris you have very nice perspective toward it ?

You know my uncle was a computer addicted. Since I was a child I qas always careful not to get attached to computer so much. Although I know people who are in computer are in a different world and I understand how attractive it can be and I would be addicted due to my love for virtual world, I just saw my uncle on a chair stiring on a screen for hours. And that's what look like from outside!

I totaly understand that perspective, when I was a lot into reality and left video games 5 years ago ( but soon I was back on a computer for electronic music.. all my area of skills is on a computer )

I was like, yes, weird to watch someone fully connected within his mind to a screen, it even could look horrific, I totaly get it.

it's like all things, you need equilibrium. I even believe than taking a line of cokaïne to a certain point of life could makes you grow. ( don't do that, but in fact, that's already the case in america.. adhd meds, another name for medical cokaïne... )

one of my rules, is everything you need for feeling complete could be an addiction, ( and I m not out of them )

It's a lot about balance, restriction based on judgement will never get you that far.

or it's mainly because you don't know how to take a profit from it then.

And that's fair each life need his experience for him to blossom in his way.

I would say that there is always two coins of the same piece, there is low consciousness game, high consciousness game, lower consciousness player, higher consciousness player. And the player is even most important than the material at hands. And for all things, not only games.

In all things you can find good or bad, what are you extracting ?

For me it's a lot about upgrading the accuracy of the gold finding machine, what kind of gold are you looking for, and there is gold everywhere and nowhere.

You're the gold finding machine !

@Moreira it's like you're my twin.

I've gotten slightly better in some areas and continue to work on my routine althouh I currently appear to be suffering from some kind of exhaustion so it's possible I haven't quite nailed it just yet.
