Changing Your Thoughts In Hopes Of Self Acceptance

5 posts in this topic

Does anyone else feel that they constantly beat themselves up? That there is that little voice in your head telling you "Hey you are NOT good enough. You have a shitty personality. You amount to nothing. You are not worth it.". Maybe that is a little harsh but that gist of the constant track that plays within my head. It isn't typically a body imagine I struggle with as much as it is an inside issue and comparing myself to other even though I realize it hurts me.

I know, I know, you are a slave to your thoughts and to your emotions and the only way to change those to be happy is to change your thoughts. But HOW? What do you do when that voice creeps in and reminds you of the bad things you've done, how awful you feel about your body, character, and how you feel unworthy of love; not only from others but also from yourself...

I am ready to be happy and accept that the love has to start from within, but I am on shaky ground of how to start.

Thank you so much for sharing your love and your time. <3

@TrippyKate neurosis is the battle between what you are and what you ought to be, if you find any aspect of yourself shitty go ahead and change it, in many cases you will succeed stop being victim however in the attempt to win over yourself you must lose loss means surrender which will amount to self acceptance. You can also check out the visualisation exercise in the power of self acceptance in Actualized.org videos.do it at least for a week.

This video is a very good place for you to start, master your emotions. You're not gonna be able to change your patterns if you aren't aware of them happening in the moment.

Trippy you are expressing the feelings of the human identity and its frustrations.   Sit down, be still, and feel the source of life within yourself, experience it to the deepest level you can, do it often, dont think, just be with it, do nothing else.  If you can and will do this, you will begin to change in a way you never imagined, but you have to do it, trust it, give it some time.  As time passes there will be an awakening that happens within you.  Dont follow doctrines and philosophies of people who have never experienced self realization,  there are a few in this world who have, if they have made the transition they can help you, but it all hinges on you, and your desire to be the highest version of yourself, and the desire to be liberated from all the nonsensical things in this physical world that create pain and suffering.  You can live this life and be happy and enjoy what you do with complete freedom from the consequences of functioning as the human identity with its ego and desires of the flesh.

Your consciousness has begun to awaken this is why you feel what you do, dont fear it, embrace it, spend the time with the source of life within, it will take you the rest of the way.

Thoughts dont have to hate or love themselves. Why would you want to think you are happy and feel happy from within? That is being as delusional as you think you are now and will make you think you are happy only because its the opposite to your current thoughts. Once you dont remember the way you think now you will invent some other excuse to think you are unhappy again so that you can think you have something to overcome. Then you will spend your entire life jumping from petty psychological crisis to petty psychological crisis.

Others are as real as the thoughts you have about yourself so you are really comparing two fictional characters all the time....and feeling bad for one of them.

If you think you are Superman and smarter than Einstein you will be as right about your identity as you are now.

Honestly if i started thinking the way you describe and couldnt stop it i would go for a 4 hour walk under the sun or until water was the only thing in my thoughts.

You are starting nothing and neither you or the ground or your thoughts is shaky.
