Activities itself do not lower ones consciousness, this is a misconception. What lowers one consciousness is the contraction of consciousness. The repetitive use of activities for any number of reasons. 

It is easy to stigmatise activities and label them low consciousness relative to another activity. Low or high is a relative notion. Enlightenment can be defined as high consciousness against low consciousness etc. The world is about differences and evaluation of these differences relatively 

for example, using actualise.org forum is relatively low consciousness, than actually doing practices. But this is relative to what questions you personally ask on the forum. For some it might be high consciousness.
