The school system will collapse with increased consciousness

@Nahm It’s a difference of community to community. A stage blue community will force their children to do religious work at home, whilst stage orange and green are more carefree. As a result, the children from the blue community are frustrated whilst the stage orange/green child is happy to learn. In my class, both communities are present, so I can easily see the difference, but more of them are from the blue communities. Of course, since the majority of the class is playing, even the orange/green kids will want to play as well.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@bejapuskas Again, this ranges from school to school. In your school, I see that teaching will be possible, but in some schools it isn’t. The children are not getting enough play time at home, so they don’t have the willingness to pursue more complex thinking.

@How to be wise I understand where you’re coming from. Any interest in deconstructing beliefs, ideas of what is, and the identity behind them? In the name of creating, loving, and change? (Your’s, I don’t mean changing a system or administration)

@How to be wise  I come from a stage blue family, but it isn't like they force me to do religious work at home, I don't even know what that is... And even if I was forced to do it, it's not like it takes 8 hours or something like that. I would drop this kind of spiral dynamics thinking, to me it seems like you just don't want to put the effort into it. Also I don't think that stage orange kids want to learn more, because they are sometimes fans of people like Tai Lopez and they rebel against school, when they can use it to their advantage. To me it sounds like you haven't put enough effort into the classes, because it is a conscious behavior for you, and hus the kids don't even know what more complex things are, you are there to show them, they won't do it themselves.

@Nahm As I said previously, they have no interest in learning of any kind. And that’s good. I want for them what they want for themselves.

@How to be wise  They don't know what they want from themselves, they are usually suffering. They have too much play time at home (computer games) and they don't know where is the way out. This thing that you are preaching is a victim mindset. You also wouldn't know the way, if Byron Katie hasn't shown you. Also for example Leo couldn't show us some of these more advanced and more interesting things, if he was just letting us vote for whatever video he will shoot next week... Also he wouldn't be so enthusiastic about it.

@bejapuskas But are you being forced to watch Leo’s videos? No. Every week you go on YouTube and click on his video. He extended his hand, and you also extended your hand to reach his. It has to come from both ways. If someone doesn’t want something from you, you will have two options: wait or leave. Forcing it onto the person will not work, because they are not ready for it.

@bejapuskas I’m waiting for them to pick it up. And so far, nobody came. That’s how I know they don’t need it.

Because you were never in a position that could directly threaten whatever little authority those leadership types had. You were just one promotion away from her. That's dangerously close. The woman got her job through strength of her relationships and tried to keep some distance from any potential threats to her authority and job security. You just happened to look like the most threatening competitor at the time. From her point of view, you had to be taken out to protect whatever little job security or authority she had.

Typical private politicians.

I think that describes your personality type to a degree. That's why you were a competitor to her. I've seen you pressure actualized.org forum users to adopt certain view points. That's similar to telling other teachers what is wrong and right. if you tried to share leadership with others or didn't show interest in leadership, she could have been more forgiving.

I certainly wasn't in a threatening position relative to her position. So, it wasn't anything like that. Now, she does pride herself on being academically intellectual, and I had thought that perhaps she may have been envious relative to the way I generally think about things because I am intelligent but in a more intuitive kind of way that she's not very good at because of her rigidity.

But I would say that I can see that she was inundated by similar conditioning to me, only she never really got out of it. I really feel like, to her, achievement equals inherent value. And I was certainly on that track until my awakening experiences 10 years ago.

But on the surface, in life, I don't think many people (including her) would recognize that similarity of conditioning. She would probably see me as quite the diametric opposite to how she is. And that's really why I think she disliked me, as she saw me as fundamentally weird and 'not one of her kind'.

She's very extroverted and I'm very introverted. She's very type A and I'm very type B. She's quite keen to interject herself and pressure others, and most people would describe me as quiet, reserved, laid back, and unlikely to impose upon others. And the primary way that the vast majority people would describe me as would be as nice but a bit shy and a bit spacey and a bit awkward.

I think you might see me as a more forceful person because my views differ from yours, and the fact that the forum has this particular format that's very conducive to sharing ideas directly. And on certain issues, I do stick to my guns because I see it as wise because the situations involving them have real consequences.  But in life, I'm very unlikely to interject in any way.

Most of the time I'm very relaxed about things. And I don't share a lot with others because I've learned my lesson on that.

Conscious teachers are those that don’t force lessons on children. If children want to learn, they teach. If children don’t want to learn, they let them do what they want. Depending on the school you’re in, you will either be teaching more if a lot of kids want to learn, or just sit and do nothing if nobody wants to learn.

This is another one of those spiritual bypass and idealism kind of things. People simply don't work that way.

You come in like that, and the kids will eat you alive. I've met teachers like that who had that kind of philosophy about teaching (not as extreme of course, or they wouldn't survive through the week with that plan), and the classroom is the opposite of inspiring. The kids just don't respect the teacher because they feel like the teacher has no boundaries and no expectations of them.  And many students feel overwhelmed in such a loose environment, especially ones who have sensory issues and/or are on the autism spectrum. But most kids really feel much better with routine, and many experience anxiety at changes.

You have to have a lot of warrior energy at your disposal to be a good teacher which includes strategy, discipline, leadership, and high expectations of those who are following your command. They have to know that you're expecting a lot of them and have a sense of stakes. And if they feel like you respect them and have those expectations of them, they will try to reach and impress you.

You're not really understanding how human beings work and what they need and want. Structure is a deep need for those growing up. Kids may consciously want more freedom. But they thrive best when that freedom is comfortably supported by discipline and order.

So, you can't just be like, "Who wants to learn today?" and then teach based on that. Number one, the kids that don't will create an unbearable classroom situation to teach in. If you even have one student who's allowed to do whatever they want to do, they'll create so many ripples in the pond and the energy of the classroom will slide toward entropy. Things fall apart very easily. And as the teacher, your job is to notice and address all the micro-patterns in the classroom that are a barrier to teaching and student engagement.

So, you're really more of an energy director than anything else as a teacher. And the best teachers can pick up on those energetic patterns quickly and put a stopper to them to still the pond so that the kids can focus. And the kids get an intuitive sense for how good the teacher is at doing this.

And if they sense weak boundaries, the top three mischief makers will start making energetic ripples in the pond. And then, this will spread out to the next tier of students who are not really mischief makers, but really like socializing and are a bit lax with the rules. And then, once the energetic pattern of entropy has hit that group, you have like 1/4 to 1/3 of the class off-task. And at that point, everyone else but the most responsible students (maybe 1 or 2 of them), is just engaged in doing whatever they want to do... which is socialize and be free. But they are no longer engaged in active learning, and you can't do your job as a teacher at that point. And you're doing the kids a dis-service.

@How to be wise not them, you (is what Nahm means)

i like this topic, 10-12 is at that age where kids can become such assholes. 4th grade or reaching 10 is the last time you get the curiousity and respect you can work with lol

@Emeraldhave you heard of or watched the show Merli on Netflix about the hs philosophy teacher? Excellent performance, not in English but well worth the watch

This is all unconsciousness. How do I know? It’s fear based.

It’s not easy to be a conscious teacher. All the things you mentioned will be the obstacles against it. I’ve struggled through all this for one year before I figured it out. And yes, you will probably be fired very soon!

Again, conscious teaching is very difficult. It’s not for everybody. But what I can tell you is that, making this transition has made my job extremely enjoyable. I was lowered from a teacher to an assistant teacher. But know I basically get to have fun with the children, whilst I let the teacher take all the burden of ‘controlling’ the class.

@How to be wise drop all self deception it will be better. Drop spiral dynamics. Investigate spiritual bypassing. Ground yourself in reality.

Stop blaming children. Make better analysis.. What you are saying is terrible. I am just being honest. Life is hard my friend.

Your approach is fear based, because you are affraid of working.

You struggle with it, because your teaching style is not functional. Why do you even argue for something, that doesn't work well? These kids lack discipline, which they will need later on in life. Sure, they can learn a lot through socializing, but they already do a lot of that out of school. They seriously need to be more grounded. These kids that you are talking about play video games, watch porn, eat junk food, gossip etc... they won't do the work if you let it all collapse on them.

They are not interested, because you aren't interested, you don't even bother with trying to understand them, you just ask them. What does it feel like, when some of your friends cannot read your face and has to always ask you about your mood, isn't that terrible? This is exactly the same thing, it is not some tier two turquoise level teaching style, drop it. I also thought it is very enjoyable, but it is only a distraction, you can actually enjoy it even more if you put in the work, that is necessary.

It is not like if you tell someone to do something, it is „low consciousness manipulation“. If what you are saying makes sense for the students, they will be glad to do it, but you need to know that you understand what you teach, that you are a relatable and funny person and you are interested in them.

For example in language you can show them all the similarities between words from different language groups, you can show them how they can make useful phrases and sentences, you can even have like a conversation circle about a topic that they choose. In maths you can give them interesting problems (there are many on youtube) with creative solutions, in civics you can talk about how to create a budget, talk about different philosophies, teach them how to think for themselves, question the constitution, in history you can debate how has everyday life changed, you can find some interesting facts from that time, in physics you can do all sorts of crazy things, that are relatable, like what would happen if you fall inside an elevator etc...

You know, I am not just making all this up, but we actually do these things at school and I would say that 90 % of my class (sorry but you just cannot satisfy everyone, but at least they don't make any mess but stay quiet) are interested in further education. I mean, we weren't before, but now we really see the meaning in it and want to work on our intellect, it's not just black and white stage orange brain washing. I am actually 1st year of high school, so I don't even have to go to school, but I go there, because I want to. But my teachers are good at making me interested, that's the trick. And if you think, that by only playing with them, deepening their lack of discipline, you will achieve great things for them... I mean, think about this problem.
