I feel that this is true with a lot of things, like drugs, you really lose the sense of self, same thing with alcohol.

That's why so many unconscious people become addicted to those things, without knowing why. IMO.

I just remembered when I was bungi-jumping once, my sense of self was also suspended in between the intense feelings of fear that I would hit the ground and die  I remember feeling blank in between those jumps.
