Hand - Exercise In Consciousness

Leo often mentions hand as a tool/ exercise to deepen one's level of consciousness.

What do you 'see' when you look at 'your' 'hand'?

I just stared at my hand and it is amazing how much intelligence is right there in my hand. 5 sticks appearing out of a square-shaped thing in order to grab stuff and how the nails are there perfectly to do things like scraping and whatnot haha. How can such intelligence be created? Thanks for this post!

Also try to contemplate on questions like: 

'Is it even a 'hand?'

'Is it 'yours'?

What is there beyond the form?

The beauty of this exercise is as you stare at your hand long enough it takes you beyond the Relative/form/a thing that 'belongs' to 'someone'.

Yes, we are trying to shift awareness from form to formless in this exercise

Looks like your ring finger is a little standoffish, your pinky is feeling left out and bout ready to leave, your thumb is noticing all this transpiring, your index finger is uncomfortable with what’s going on, and your middle finger is just staying out of it altogether.

Reality is absolutely relative - meaning its a shift in perspectives.  For example you can look at one of the fingers and view it as a finger - relative to this perspective it is a finger.  Or you can you can keep your gaze on the finger and shift perspectives.  Now you see it as the whole hand.

So too can you as consciousness or God shift perspectives.  From your Ego's perspective to the fullness of God's perspective.  You are God regardless and that is Absolute. 

But your relative perspective can be anything it wants.  It can be a finger or the hand. And whatever that is is what reality is, literally.

That is the magic of God.  It is so infinite that it can tear down perspectives and build new ones.   This is so total that from a particular perspective no others exist unless you bring them into existence by thinking about them. (Imagining them)

All this from looking at your hand!
